if u mean who would win if they faught..thats too easy.chuck by ko in the first round..but pound for pound hughes is better...if they ever faught it would be ugly..hughes wouldnt be able to take him down and chucks reach would just pick matt apart

chuck would beat matt easily. matt is known for is good takedowns and pounding and submissions. (ground and pound)
First off, Chuck weighs a good 25 pounds more than Matt, has reach on him, has height on him. ALSO, chuck is known as one of the best takedown defenders in MMA if not the best so that screws matt on his takedowns. ALSO, Chuck is highly unlikely to get caught in any type of submission........good submission defense. I know he got caught by Jeremy Horn way back in UFC 19 : Young Guns bought that was so long ago and he has improved greatly........plus Chuck has redeemed himself for that loss by kicking Horns assssssss

I would go for Hughes if they fought. Liddell would get his ass slammed by Matt and then tap him out. Just my opinion.:D
im not triying to insult ur mma knowledge or ne thing cuz u have sum great posts on this site and i agree with alot u say....but that statement about matt beating chuck is THE STUPIDEST COMMENT IVE EVER READ ON THIS FORUM!!!....matt would have no shot against chuck if chuck could adjust to randly coutures take downs than i think he could handle hughes 10 times as easy...poor matt he would get embarrassed

Hughes ain't that good. We've all seen him almost lose on many occasions. Honestly, i think he is good under pressure; to the extent that it surprises many like St. Pierre when he quickly reverses and wins a fight that he otherwise lost. Of course, there are also controversial rulings where the judges have given it to him when most knowledgeble Martial Artists (including his opponent in one case), do not think he came even close to winning.

In short, i think Chuck would win; especially if he went for his trademark eye poke/scratch :) Okay, i'm half-joking, but seriously, he has some sort of issue with doing that.

i rpetty much agree with ev1 else

fact are facts are they not? you can alter the truth to your liking, matt is by far more tlented and more well rounded, but if chuck get him with a punch he is going down and with the stats, height, reach, etc chuck will definetly get a good shot in before he get taken down.

he might have good take down defense but i think if he slips or makes a wrong move he will be in matts world and i dont see him getting back up.
