Dana just said it on the post fight presser!

This is the only time I'm ever going to root for GSP!

Poor Okami though...:(

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we dont want this because andy will kill gsp and i do like gsp and i dont want him stiffened up out cold and then he will stay at 185, shogun vs silva is better, much better

Okami got lucky, i think nobody doubts that Silva would take this one easily. Okami can still fight for the title, maybe an interim belt. I would actually suggest Brian Stann if he can beat Wanderlei. Silva will move up to destroy lhw and GSP will be coming of a loss and cant just get a title shot. GSP will hold the MW title though sooner or later.

I think Okami should get a title shot next, its only fair. Hear me out. Anderson just had his fight, and GSP fights in April 30. If he beats Shields than Anderson has more time to rest. GSP needs more time if he wants to gain extra muscle like he wants if he is going to compete at 185. So GSP should get extended time off while he does his thing. A Silva vs Okami fight can easily be slid in between. That way, you keep your obligation to Okami who was promised a Title Shot, and you give more time for GSP to work out and get bigger. And then the time frame should work for a proper GSP vs Silva dream fight at 185. I know a bunch of you want to see this fight happen, even already calling an Anderson Silva victory. If you think a Silva vs Okami fight is pointless then no one should feel that the GSP vs Silva fight is threatened if a Okami vs Silva fight came first right?

Okami screwed again!
What else is new?!

GSP - Silva!!!
1. First he has to beat Shields.
2. GSP needs to put some muscle on him!
3. GSP will worlk double the ammount of time on his wrestling now!
4. WRESTLING! WRESTLING! WRESTLING!

Prediction:
We will have a Primetime Series if this happens!

Okami getting fucked again not really a surprise. GSP won't even be the better grappler in this fight. Andy's bjj is vastly superior and the size, length, and strength advantage he will have will make it near impossible for GSP to control him on the ground.

Whatever with Okami. The guy rarely impresses. He barely beat a guy who lost to Silva, and lost to another guy that did as well.

If you want a shot at Silva, and take away time from his amazing journeys into other weight classes you better ******* bring it and show something dominant against quality opponents.

Silva is too good for 'challenger's because someone has to be a challenger' title fights.

So much win in this post!

I can't even remember how many times Dana said that Silva is just too big for GSP. That Silva is almost a LHW and GSP a WW, so the size difference would be too big.

But this fight would break PPV buys = lots of MONEY!! So it needs to happen, especially now that Silva has positive hype arround him after this performance.
Dana knows that if Silva gets to fight Okami he might do something strange or stupid again, that could affect his image.

But, if this fight happens, i don't think it will happen untill october-december!

GSP has said on multiple occasions that if he goes up to MW it's gonna be for good, or at least a long time, and he needs to do the bulking up part perfectly.

With a fight at the end of April, i don't think he will have enough time to do it, until UFC Brazil - end of august!

Think about it - GSP will need to bulk up, with the idea that he isn't coming back at WW.

On a funny note: all the welterweights, not named Georges St. Pierre had multiple orgasms!

Objectively speaking, since Serra really, GSP started becoming a safety first fighter and became aaa litte b**ch.

I think Silva can bring out the young fiery GSP that finished people, unorthoodox striking, taking other fighters out of their element, putting it on the line, mixing everything up, multi-tooled MMA fighter, could do it all, with a mission to end the fight.

After Shields there is no one else. GSP V Fitch II, Penn III --- No, thank you. I'd rather see him go off and join the Canadian Olympic Wrestling team or something.

And really, truly, if wrestlers nullify Silva's entire game as Sonnen demonstrated.. and the whole rib thing was a farce as so many claim.. GSP-lovers should have nothing to worry about.

The thing I like about the UFC is that they are the only ones with the ability to set up dream matches between the Top #10 P4P MMA Fighters in the world. The only Top P4P King not in the UFC is Fedor, I know Overeem is a top HW but I dont think Overeem is considered a Top #10 P4P MMA Fighter. The prime example was BJ Penn(at the time) vs GSP 2. That thing had so much hype in a fight between not only champions but best P4P fighters. I am sure their are other examples in earlier rankings and UFC's.

But now We could see stuff like Dominick Cruz vs Jose Aldo, Jose Aldo vs Frankie Edgar , we are already seeing BJ Penn vs Jon Fitch. They are still considered 2 of the best even if it could be a snooze fest, though if BJ loses to Fitch, for sure he lost his P4P status. GSP vs Fitch 2, GSP vs Anderson Silva (Top 2 P4P kings going at it? Me like!), Anderson vs Shogun/the interchangeable deep LHW division, GSP vs Shields is also happening. The UFC can always put matches between the Top 10 guys in MMA today. THe only guy that isint facing these guys is Cain, if Fedor or Oveerem can solidify their status by winning this tournament, it makes sense for Cain to fight the winner. Dana White should press hard to sign them to the UFC for this, though im sure he still doesent like the "crazy russians". The only other guy thats on the outside looking in is maybe Gilbert Melendez. But their are plenty of tough guys for Edgar to fight at 155 and coming up from 145 like Aldo. The only one that needs a super fight thats currently impossible is Cain. He needs a Fedor or a (HW GP winning) Overeem to come over and fight him.

Silva/GSP is MMA's version of Pac-Mayweather; it's the clash of pound for pound kings that everybody wants to see and everyone has split opinions about. Honestly Dana White needs to make it happen, nobody wants to see Okami get destroyed by Silva so that would be pointless.
Personally i still think GSP will beat Silva via wrestling as that is still a weakness in Silva's game. Hell, even Belfort took him down for a bit before they stood back up, and he's a striker!
