Not the best performance but a great and honest interview. He's a very laid back guy. Can't wait to see him against Bigfoot, that fight will be fireworks. I'd have Reem around 3-4 spot right now.
I don't get all the hate for Overeem, it's Werdum's fault he kept flopping onto his back the whole fight. Overeem didn't get to stand long enough to get into a rhythm, which is very important as any striker knows.
Yeah, so pretty much proved that any decent fighter that can get Overeem out of rhythm and not lose the fight by pulling guard and butt scooting will beat Overeem...
His striking was very slow and telegraphed and his gas tank was weak. He is still dangerous to anyone he fights because he has power in his punches but a well rounded fighter will beat him 9 times out of 10. Fortunately for Overeem there are only 2 or 3 well rounded true HW fighters...
Overeem is pretty much the SF equivalent to Carwin... Strong and has power in his strikes but too predictable.
You do realize that no one fights like that, correct? I find it pathetic that "fans" are praising Werdum by making a mockery of the sport by flailing to his back anytime Overeem got near him and intentionally stalling by refusing to stand up in a timely manner. It's hilarious. These are the same people who will then bitch and moan and cry about how their favourite fighter got layed on by a boring wrestler.
Funny, because scenario 2 implies that the fighter has shit takedown defense and doesn't deserve to win the fight, scenario 1 is the complete opposite.

Dreams HW division isn't that deep. Its sort of like the UFC HW division when Tim Sylvia was their champion! Alistair only defended that SF title once in two years and it was against a guy who was recently coming off a loss. Not that impressive really!
I still like Overeem. I'm just a bit worried about his defense.
