It's that time again! You may have read that Season 14 will be the last season of TUF on Spike. That happens to be true, but that doesn't mean we're going to take our foot off the gas for a minute. With 32 hungry fighters walking in the door and the intensity of coaches Michael Bisping and Jason "Mayhem" Miller, you can bet that we're going to go out with a bang.
The fourteenth season of TUF kicks off with a two-hour premiere on September 21 at 9/8c, and it's going to blow the roof off the joint.

Having said that, it's time to meet the 32 men who will vie to become The Ultimate Fighter.

I'm excited to see what Mayhem has up his sleeve! And you know Bisping will have his share of shit talk! We are just a couple weeks away so lets get started! There are some experienced fighters coming in and some...not so much.

Not a fan of Dodson but I am glad Team Miller one that last one. Bispings digs at the fight anouncement were stupid and uncalled for.

And that foot looked nnnaasssttttyyyyyyy. Staff is a bitch. Can't see him fighting with that balloon foot. And that really sucks for him

The interplay between Bisping and Miller is fantastic. I'm from Britain I loved Miller on Bully beat down and think he is a very cool guy. have to say Bisping did us proud. British and American culture is so different. but I can honestly say from a British perspective Bisping was definitely top dog for the first half of the show the two confrontations were hilarious. His lecture at the fight to pick was embarrassing. And Miller's last comment "I know one bully" was perfect.

I worry though that because Miller took the serious moral high ground he might have dug himself a hole. He needs to get his wisecracking Mojo back fast, or he will be being bullied. I expect Miller to surge back next week though.

It can't be a British thing to be the biggest douche possible. Bisping doesn't have it in him to be witty like Miller is, that's why it backfired so badly for him.

man this Bisping is one of these guys.
he is talking sh*t the whole time, he is the most disrespectful person in MMA but when someone even has the audacity to talk back, he flips it back on them :)

Then HE is starting crying about ppl being disrespectul to HIM and stuff.

I really admire Miller for his patience man. I honestly couldn't stand there when he was announcing the fights and started to talk out of his ass again, without bullrushing this tool.

And yes, I would even root for Sonnen when the two would fight....

The bottom line is this you cannot beat British verbal bullying, in my opinion it's nastier than anything America has to offer. we have far fewer guns in Britain so we can be far ruder and nastier without the risk of getting shot.

To me, Miller for the moment has lost the one-upmanship. pulling the moral high ground card is equivalent to running to mummy.

This is just my opinion, just sharing, not try to convince anyone or say that anyone is wrong.

Yeah, it's a shame that Dana gave Bisping the three easiest fights to get his guys to the finals.

Frankly it should have been

1. Bedford vs 4. Pague
2. Dillashaw vs 3. Dodson

1. Diego vs 4. Akira
2. Bermundez vs 3. Caraway

1.) those are how the fighters are likely ranked
2.) it would set up Wrestler vs Grappler finales now it looks like we might get two Wrestler vs Wrestler finales.

Diego looks impressive, but then I looked at his record and it's rather.. eh. 13-7? It's not bad, but he has lost his share of fights to not so well known opponents. We know how these quick knock out artists can work. They look good with their power up until they fight someone that can weather their storm. I'm not sold on him at all yet.

Production in this episode seems better that before. They did really good job.

Fight was awesome. Bermudez had hard hitter in first eliminary fight to get to the house and survived pretty dominant first round. In this fight he overcome adversity again and his face looked untouched, amazing.
My hats off to him.

I really think that Akira was faking his "wtf just happen" after the fight. Does anyone felt it same way? Im just courious.

For the first time Bisping doesnt look like a total douchebag in my eyes in this episode. Wierd :confused05:

Exactly what I thought. Win or lose, the guy gives excellent advice and actually talks like a coach and doesn't scream his lungs out uselessly.

I usually hate on Bisping, but this episode he wasn't the douchebag he is and those were good pranks, gotta give him that. Miller's reaction to all of the pranks is one of the reasons I like him so much. He's so laid back and down to earth, it's actually even more funny when he's the prankee not the pranker. I bet if Miller did the same thing to Bisping, he would be flipping off all over the place. :thumb02:

And did I say this is perhaps the best season ever?

#238 ·
Yea, I think Miller is doing one of, if not the best coaching jobs TUF has seen. Aside from that, the fighters are going ape shit puting on some great fights. Overall one of the best seasons to date, easily. There's just enough drama in the house to keep it not ALL training/fighting, it's been a great balance.
