Love how Chael always talks about how its who wants it more. And how he has seen great champs shrink. And how its about will to win. And how he doesn't buy into Anderson's hype.

Last I checked Anderson took 4.5 rounds of Chael's best and then stayed in there and finished him. If anyone lacks heart and will to win it is Sonnen....the guy who has lost most all huge fights or wrestling matches he has been in. If anyone has the will to win it is Anderson not you.

Chael is such a fake.

Chael is fake, if its taking you this long to figure out, more the funny on you.

He says stuff right out of the WWE, he takes pre-fight hype to the next level, and its probably gained the most fame just from pure talk alone than anyone else. Tito paved the way, and he's taking it to the next level. Giving Anderson his toughest fight also doesn't hurt either. You can hate Chael all you want, but what other man was that close to stopping Anderson since he joined the UFC? none.

Look at all the people who talk shit about GSP, and then slowly are forgotten about after he beats them soundly. Thats what Anderson needs to do, thats what he said he will do on radio.

Can't wait.

When did I just realize he was fake? Because I said "he is such a fake" you imply that I just got that feeling? Weird?

No other guy has been that close. No. But he tapped....like he has done his whole career.

In that fight Anderson was the tougher man. Anderson wanted it more. Anderson did in 10 seconds...what Chael couldn't do for 4.5 rounds. That is win the damn fight. Chael isn't a lay and prayer....but he doesn't know how to finish fights. If he was so bad and Anderson is such a "punk" you would think he would have been able to finish him....or hell...even hurt him. But in the end he said "I quit uncle Anderson"....and that is the worst way to lose.

A lot of people often seem to forget that Silva was on a streak of uninteresting fights against incredibly inferior opponents/having terrible performances. Silva lost a lot of interest after Cote, Leites, Maia, and although he KO'd Forest, that was a complete joke of a fight. Chael came in and generated more excitement for a Silva fight then there ever has been.

This is the more logical side of things yes. I'm kind of worried though, the UFC seems to be lacking real big title fights in the last few years and once this one goes by there might be a drought that causes people to lose interest.

Brock and GSP used to be the biggest draws but it's Chael now, there aren't enough fighters that understand the promotional aspect of the UFC. Yes a lot of what Chael says is stupid, immature and untrue but it hypes fights. I hate the immature insults and all that, but it just might break UFC viewership records at 148. Without Sonnen Anderson would be an afterthought these days, knocking out Okami and Belfort in the first round. Sonnen is the perfect counterpart to Silva stylistically.

thanks for posting the show.

As much as I enjoyed it, I couldn't help but feel it was brief and as an MMA fan I feel I've read and seen so much about this matchup over time that it feels that they left out a lot of interesting stuff that has happened since the first matchup

It was cool to see the UFC's translation of what Anderson said about making him swallow his teeth etc, maybe that was more accurate that what Ed said.

I hope there's more revealing stuff in the next couple episodes if there are any. I like the angle they are giving Sonnen though, making him seem less of a comedian and more of a single minded fighter.

With the UFC on FOX this is such a historic fight I can't help but feel there should be more coverage/hype about it

Word on the UG is Anderson refused to do it but eventually was convinced but it was a little late in the game to do a three parter.

But sticking the primetime to the most anticipated fight of the year on FUEL is mind boggling.

I did find it to be going a bit too far and im someone that has found just about everything Chael has said really funny so far. To talk about kids that are to poor to afford the kids white kids can and are forced to have fun playing outside in the mud is pretty low. Im sure those kida dont find anything wrong with the way their playing so that Chael looks down on them for it.... ehhh

Oh well im still on Team Chael.

Here is the video of that conference btw guys.

19:40 had be cracking up and when Anderson Silva was laughing and Chael started snoring in to the Mic that also had me laughing. Not as much for what Chael did but just because im listening to the talking and then all of the sudden i hear a snoring noise going over the voice currently talking. I thought my speakers were messing up but instead it was just the loveable Chael Sonnen haha.

I just got to 29:37 and right before their stareoff Anderson Silva gets the belt handed to him and Chael Sonnen reaches for it. That was probably the funniest thing i have seen Chael do. Hahaha

Don't let what Chael says bother you, it's an act. There are 2 versions of Chael Sonnen, the mild-mannered nice guy who is well spoken and the lunatic sociopath that shows up whenever Anderson Silva enters the conversation. He'll say whatever he wants to get attention.
