Im interested to see if thats true. My guess right now is Fox sports jumped the gun claiming that. Possibly because of what Dana said at the post fight conference.
Id say 750 - 900k PPV buys although I think it will be at the lower end of that. You have to look at the PPV trend as a whole its not going to jump from 300-400k to 1.5 million. I will be happy to be wrong though.
And it was all Chael Sonnen, which is pretty funny, without him trash talking Anderson the way he did, and created this hate between them, not to mention going 5 rounds last time. Anderson should thank him for making him millions, since I don't think Anderson has topped 800k any other time, and I doubt he will ever again unless its Anderson/JBJ.
Not too many fighters can sell 800k-1000k consistently, GSP and Brock were the only ones. Rampage was a pretty huge draw also, considering he didn't have the belt for too long. Anyways, its cool to see Anderson finally get some recognition, being sponsored by Nike/BK in Brazil. Wonder how much he gets from that alone, must be a nice amount.
Well it would of been at least 1 higher if my satellite company had not totally dropped the ball. I don't want to name names but SHAW DIRECT.
