I don't have a large amount of money to invest in my gear. A buddy and I are planning to get into this together and are looking for some quality sparring equipment for lower price. We're not so concerned about headgear at the moment as we have both done martial arts and have a fair degree of control. We're mainly after some cheap quality sparring gloves and shin/instep guards. Any reccomendations? The best I've found is some sale stuff over at combat sports' website.

These are the gloves and shin guards that we've decided on so far. We just need something to get us started, nothing fancy or special, just good and cheap protection.

Opinion?
Get the Mma combat shin guards instead. They are around 40, much better. Combat sports makes very goos quality for the price.

Essentially you get what you pay for in MMA gear, not so well known brands like these may be ok to begin with but then you are best buying into some good gear as soon as you can afford it. These seem to be based on some designs used by other manufacturers but may not last you as long. Buy cheap buy more than twice usually. :)
