Chael creates new pizza, The Jon Jones special

Chael Sonnen is still taking shots at UFC star Jon Jones, but now he's doing it with a flier for his pizza joint in Oregon ... and it's pretty obvious what he's trying to say.

Sonnen is still fuming mad that Jones refused to fight him at UFC 151 after Sonnen was named as an injury replacement for Dan Henderson.

So now Sonnen is calling out Jones by adverting a Jon Jones Special Pizza ... which is "loaded with chicken." He also pokes fun at Jones' DUI arrest back in May, by advertising that the special comes with a six-pack of beer ... but they offer delivery so you'll "avoid a DUI."

Not very subtle, but effective.

Damn...Chael's going multi-media on this, I hope they make T-shirts.

chael has his character perfected. Brilliance, people will say oh he needs to shut up because he can't win when it matters or that he's an immature ass. I say he's talked his way into 3 title shot offers from the UFC, champion or not Chael is a genius. Somewhere along the way a light went on for this guy, if you hate him, he loves it, if you love him, he loves that too.

The point isn't to make people laugh at his jokes, the point is to get a reaction, if you hate this kind of jab at jon jones that's great. It's all part of the Chael Sonnen show where all he wants is people to talk about him. This jon jones pizza gimmick is pure genius, he could teach a class on self-marketing.

Chael knows Bones has the division cleared out and those still standing are afraid to fight him again (not that I blame them). Chael knows he can get another huge paycheck by talking himself into a fight with Jones and he absolutely can do so.

I agree, however I would say if he DOMINATES Forrest he'll get his title shot. If it's a lackluster victory he may need another one... either way I can hear Dana now.. "this guy F***ing stepped up when we F***ing needed him... he just beat a former F***ing world champion... and yeah! It's a fight everyone F***ing wants to see, and yeah! I'm giving him a F***ing title shot!..... F***!"

Edit... sorry for the double post... somehow thought I was in a different thread

I'm not so sure. I think Gus/Shogun winner is next. Then depending when Hendo comes back, I could see him against Machida for the shot after that. And you have the factor of Bones possibly getting an instant rematch if he lost the belt. Still surprised they aren't doing Bones/Sonnen on 9/22 while it's hot.

If Shogun wins there is 0 point in making the fight and IMO even Gus needs to win in impressive fashion if he is to prove he has a snowballs chance in hell because neither guy has shown anything in there recent fights to tell us that they have any chance against Bones. Gusto looked good against Thiago but there is a big difference between looking like a good prospect and looking like you have a chance at being the man to dethrone a great champion. Don't let Bones hate blind you neither Machida, Shogun, Gusto or even Hendo has a chance. Vitor's chances are slim to none but slightly higher than the other 4 because he has a better chance of landing that flash KO early. Honestly Chael may be the biggest threat to Jones once he fills out and gets comfortable at 205 since we haven't seen Bones on his back really and to be honest Chael is a better wrestler than either Jones or anybody Jones has fought and is likely one of the top 3 wrestlers in the sport. Still I am not convinced there is a LHW around right now that can beat Jones hell he has already ran through the usual suspects.

I can't believe I am saying this but Sonnen is growing on me. I still hate his fighting style but he is clever sometimes.
