this upcoming school year im planning on going to kickboxing twice a week and bjj twice a week and gym 6 days a week. I was wondering if it was worth doing wrestling for the school because that would require practice everyday afterschool and i'd probably be too wiped for the gym and kickboxing/bjj. i could still go on the weekends though. so, would doing a season of wrestling and doing less bjj/kickboxing help my mma game?
I'd try it at least for a while. The basics of wrestling can be very valuable. I took wrestling in highschool to improve my Judo and it was way worth it. The body positioning, basic grappling, ground escapes and reversals... I'd at least give it a shot and try to learn something new. Don't be afraid to give up your other classes in order to diversify. Always come back to them and try to apply what you've learned.
Definitely wrestle for your school's team especially if your training BJJ. It will help your shot as well as controlling your opponent and throws.
