Hendo is a LOT slower these days. Strangely Vitor seems to stay the same. His chin is solid still, quickness is there, and power hasn't changed. The only difference is he's less bulkier and he has a lot more mental toughness.

The fact that both agreed to the rematch speaks volumes. This is so old school. If it's a five rounder, Vitor may be able to finish Dan by TKO for the first time in his career.

Hunt was previously almost impervious, Fedor, Anderson as well. Gonna be damn fun that's for sure!

well hunt was KO'd against manhoef remember so the JDS was not completely surprising and anderson was never really hit that clean before weidman. Dan has eaten shots from every kind of striker and fighter so vitor won't be the first to do it unless it's due to gassing which isn't a fair way to win by TKO imo in terms of chin.

If you notice Dan slugs it out and at some point he's on the receiving end. When he gets hit he ducks and wings it hard almost off balance. I think Vitor will implement his rapid fire shots in that window. Unless Vitor punches himself out that's just the scenario I'm seeing in my head. Of course Vitor will have to watch that huge right over hand and left hook, but once Dan loses his balance and falls forward/backwards due to his top heavy body structure...it may be a possibility for a TKO. Again Vitor can't get overzealous cuz that's what happened to Wand, Fedor, and Shogun even except he withstood the H-bomb miraculously.

- Wand
- Rampage
- Fedor
- Anderson
- Lyoto
- and of course Shogun

This fight is a very long time coming. I thought Vitor would take him out back then. That's really when I realized that Hendo was a solid fighter and when he fought Wandy I.

Presently Vitor is in much better shape so I have to go with him with the win especially if it's a main event fight.

I would love to see the reaction of the crowd for a main eventer brazillian losing, don't think that has happened since wandy losing to franklin, but that wasn't really an important fight.

I would love that! :thumb02: But in all fairness, given Dan's age and his two last fights, I think Vitor has the edge, but god, I wish Dan blasts him, and seeing the entire crowd go deaf, blind and mute all at the same time would be too sweet.

Hendo is a broken down version of the fighter he once was who just throws the same looping overhand time and again and it's to easy to telegraph so I am saying Vitor takes it and looks impressive doing it.

People forget that Dan Henderson is one of those mysterious fighters that when he's down we write him off, but some how he makes a come back. Look in the last six to seven years at his career.

Lost to page then silva... ko bisping was backed
Lost to Jake Sheild....started koing people including fedor
Lost the last two fights by split decision, beats vitor the henderson train will start again.

You have two guys on Trt, both strikers, this is going to be a war. I don't know who will win, I would say Henderson based on he has a chin.

This was a deja vu moment for me. I was thinking of this exactly before I even saw this post. Reason being I was thinking of all the fighters who had ups and downs in their careers then a winning streak beginning with The Reem, Wand, Vitor, GSP, Denis Kang, Hector, and Hendo.

Last night I watched Rashad vs Hendo. I've been working so damn much I had no idea they even fought...haha! Well, Hendo is the same as always. Right hand tucked under his chin cocked ready to go. Wings his punches and goes off balance. Still can take any amount of punishment and still stand. But definitely is significantly slower and tends to gas in the latter rounds.

Hendo KOs people who get caught off guard or decides to engage foolishly without backing up, sidestepping, or using angles. Even Evans got clipped, well that happens in every fight. Vitor already fought Hendo to a draw. He knows what Hendo is capable of AND he'll also have Rashad in his corner which is a plus.

Vitor should fight a smart game plan and take his time. Go for takedowns and wear old man Dan down.

Dan vs any brawler is a KOTN material.
- Thiago Silva
- Wand III

Vitor vs anybody is always exciting.

It amazes me how many people act as if Hendo is so one-dimensional NOW. He has fought like this for a while now. Sure he used to use his wrestling, but he hasn't for a while. What was he supposed to take and keep Machida, Rashad, or Fedor down? He hasn't fought guys he can just take down. And he has been a wild cocked right hand brawler for a while now. He was never that versatile. Back when he had his wrestling going, his timing and hands weren't near as good. Now he has one real dangerous right hand and at 42 years old his wrestling is lacking behind.

Hendo's chin and ability to hide being wobbled is legendary, but any minute now you can expect this rule to be broken.

Belfort is one of a few guys that can do this, Shogun nearly did but Vitor is firing on all cylinders and utilizing experience well, just like Hendo did before his past couple fights.
