Wow, girls are really getting in to this season eh? I have to say, I really am not bothered about this entire seasonat all, but you chicks are tearing up and stuff?

I think that says it all. When the guys arent pushed to watch it and the girls tear up. I think that pretty much means TUF is the new version of The Notebook.

Honestly I've been dragged into this season and am only watching it because one of the girls I train with has pretty much forced me to. The drama and the crying has gotten a little out of hand. And at this point I hope Tate bashes Ronda's skull in worse than Roxy's.

the reason I get emotional is these women like Roxy and Shayna have fought for small crowds and small money for 10-13yrs, they finally get their deserved shot at the UFC then the years of fights have broken them down for the younger fighters to pick them off.

If UFC allowed women 5yrs ago then these women would've been champs, but thrust into the spotlight now at the beginning of their twilight years.

It just seems...unfair in a way.

Sorry, if you get smashed by a 1-3-1 fighter I don't care how many dues you've paid you don't belong on the highest level. Ken shamrock isn't in the UFC because he once was the greatest ever.

It's unfortunate that times have passed them by, but that doesn't mean they deserve anything. It sucks but that's a cold reality. And in many cases a reality most women aren't familiar with because in everyday life(outside of the business world) they aren't forced to deal with it.

Every woman I know complains about unfair pay and all that, but I know only a handful that actually work hard enough to be counted as doing the same work. And you know the crazy part? They all get paid the same if not more and did not hit a glass ceiling. However I don't work in the business world and I understand it is far worse in that field.

But my point remains the same, if you're not good enough you're not good enough and it doesn't matter if you used to be. It sucks but that's how it is.

Just caught up on the last episode.

Few things...

1 - Roxy was out from that slam and the fight should have been stopped right then. Terrible reffing.

2 - The crying this season is driving me nuts.

3 - the drama seems to be all with the coaches instead of the fighters this season. Rouseys head coach is a class A dickhead.

4 - I think I might hate Rousey more than any other fighter... Even more than Matt Hughes or Dan Henderson.

5 - has there been a coach that has come out of TUF looking worse than Ronda.

Dennis Hallman supposedly initiated the dramaz.

It was edited out for whatever reason.

Jessamyn Duke: The confrontation of the episode was between coach Edmond and Team Tate’s guest coach Dennis Hallman, a UFC veteran. At one of the weigh-ins, which they didn’t show on TV, Hallman was staring a hole through Edmond. This was the first time we had seen Hallman and for some reason he decided to try and mean mug Edmond. It’s one thing to glance and catch eyes with somebody but he was making it obvious.

Finally, Edmond spoke up and said, “What’s your problem man, why are you staring at me?” What you saw on the show was Edmond giving Dennis the look back because he was insulted by it. In the locker room, Ronda was sure Hallman was trying to provoke Edmond into a fight to get him kicked off the show, which would have hurt our team because Edmond was considered the head coach and Dennis was a temporary guest coach for them. We thought it was a cheap tactic but the episode only shows Edmond’s reaction, not what provoked him. Trust me, Hallman started it.

Shayna Baszler: As you will all recall, if you light Edmond’s fuse, the bomb at the other end is a big one. Team Tate knew this. I don’t want to get into all the whys of how we heard it being talked about, and I’m sure that the haters will point at this paragraph and say I am making up a bunch of stuff and whatnot, but whatever. Team Tate brought Hallman in to egg Edmond on. Period. From the second Hallman got there, he was fronting Edmond. A brilliant and dastardly tactic, really. Edmond was our head coach. He ran practice while Ronda Rousey trained right alongside us. If he gets kicked off the show, we are essentially screwed. If Hallman gets kicked off, who cares, really? And if you know Hallman, then you know he can be a bit of a dick.

What a dirty trick by team Tate. Play the fool for a fool. Getting kicked off the show isn't the worst thing that could happen to that idiot coach if he takes on Hallman.

Hallman is a badass

1 - Edmond/Hallman: If Tates team actually brought in Hallman to provoke Edmond into a fight and hav ehim kicked from the show, it would only be a good thing ... normally I would agree with anyone that called this a cheap and dirty trick, but when Rousey herself said she was going to be a bitch just to get Tate riled up and fight emotionally when they meet in Dec, then I don't see how she can complain when Tate pulls a similar tactic.

That said, both Tate and Rousey should lay off the stupidity. They are there for the fighters, to help them become better fighters .... this BS doesn't help that goal at all.

2 - Roxy may be a nice person, but man did she look terrible in that fight. My guess is that being a veteran in a division that is only starting to get recognized as legitimate is no advantage .... old training methods on a ad-hoc basis is not match for new training methods on a regular daily schedule (Jessica's stand up looked pretty good though.) ... but I guess that's the point of TUF, to take raw talent, give them a change to prove they can grow with the proper training.

BTW: the ref needs to get a new job judging dog shows, that fight was obviously over at least two or three times before he finally stopped it.

3 - The drama and crying: The 'drama' is show business, ideally they would cut it out and concentrate on doing the est job for the fighters, but as long as it's there, then I don't mind it ... gives me someone to 'hate on' (team Rousey) for when they finally step into the octagon.

The crying? no dig deal at all, women cry over emotional situations, hell so do I at times ... the way I see it, there was a discussion a while ago about the possibility of men and women fighting against one another. Most people declared that there were differences between men and women that would make that impossible forever. If these people believe there are differences between men and women, but don't recognize this as one of those differences, then they are just being hypocrites, or should just come out and admit that they don't respect women as fighters and will find every excuse to diminish they participation in MMA.

Absolutely agree. Her stand up (the kicks in particular) was terrible. I've seen people throw better kicks than she did in a beginners Muay Thai class.

Yeah it's true, she completely sucks on the feet but she has a good ground game. It was pretty cringeworthy that they were calling her a "master of jiujitsu" when she's a brown belt though.

Roxy is a nice girl but I don't really want to see her in the UFC and I doubt she'll ever get an opportunity with a showing like that.

Her jitz didn't look that good either. I mean she got slammed and KOd because she didn't underhook a leg to prevent herself from getting picked up. It's not like the slam was fast and explosive.

Another issue is rather than go for quality coaching they're aiming for entertainment value more so than any other seasons.

Brock, this season, Chuck vs Tito x 3, they gotta bring in real talent w/ a solid team.

Only watched the first episode. Ronda is a baby in the sport and should not have coaching duties yet. That's why a lot of times you see the best coaches are actually the ones with losing/mediocre records. They understand the hardships and can relate to the up and comers. More importantly they understand how to communicate on all levels. It's apparent Ronda has a difficult time articulating herself especially when she's emotionally charged. A true professional is composed at all times.

Too much beefing detracts from the underlining goal of creating new talent. It's good to have some, but from what I'm hearing it's a bit amateurish.

Koscheck tried to play games and got owned in every way possible; coaching, special guests, in the actual title fight. He's now completely irrelevant.

Tate on the other hand has this perma smirk. She got beat by Kat and is lucky to be in this position. Her team is mediocre at best.

I'd like to see Firaz back in the mix along with Danaher and lets get Ray Luongo in there. Fluke or not he trained two fighters who pulled two of the greatest upsets in this sports history.

In fact I would have liked to see Anderson w/ Team Blackhouse coach against Weidman.

Pettis w/ Team Roufus vs whoever would be a classic.
