It's reality tv so I can't say I'm surprised. It's all about the ratings.

Ronda Rousey: ‘I don’t watch ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ now that I know how much bull is in it’

UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey expressed her opinion on The Ultimate Fighter and why she no longer watches the show after her experience as a coach last year.

Ronda Rousey is no longer a fan of The Ultimate Fighter.

The UFC women's bantamweight champion coached the 18th season of The Ultimate Fighter opposite rival Miesha Tate, where she was arguably depicted as the villain throughout the series. The problems began from the first episode of the show, which saw Rousey storm off the set after she was informed that she would no longer be coaching opposite Cat Zingano and instead would be facing Tate.

Now several months later, Rousey is no longer interested in watching the show, or supporting it in any way due to the editing process involved.

"I don't watch ‘The Ultimate Fighter' now that I know how much bull is in it," Rousey told The Canadian Press. "I don't support it.

"I used to watch it all the time. Now I won't watch it,"

Now, having seen the behind-the-scenes aspect of the show, Rousey believes the producers know nothing about fighting, and treated them as if they were on ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta.'

"They don't know the first thing about fighting," said Rousey. "They only know about reality TV and they treated us like we were ‘Real Housewives of Atlanta' and not elite athletes that should be respected. And I don't support people like that so I don't watch the show anymore."

Even UFC President Dana White is well aware that his women's champion did not enjoy her time on the show.

"Not everyone is crazy with reality TV and it's no secret that Ronda butted heads with people in production and on the show," White told the Canadian Press in a statement. "You can't change her mind, that's the way she feels."

To contrast Rousey's opinion on TUF, Mike Swick told Bloodyelbow.com's Steph Daniels that he believes the show can be an important tool to find success in the UFC.

"When I was coming up, it was easier to make a name for yourself because the roster wasn't that big and there weren't as many fights. Now, you have so many talented guys coming through and tons of cards. You really have to do something to stand out if you want to be successful. TUF can be that vehicle for these guys. Every time your name is out there, it sticks with somebody. To be seen that extra bit, it counts."

Rousey is scheduled to defend her title against Alexis Davis at UFC 175. The event takes place July 5, at Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Rondah said that? lol. She also told the producers "You shut your mouth when I’m talking to you. You don’t open your mouth. When I speak to you, you sit there and listen and shut your mouth." And she is, shockingly, butthurt that they decided to just let Rondah be Rondah for the show? Poor, poor Rondah.

Yeah but don't bite the hand that feeds you. Doubt Dana is liking her bad mouth TUF the way she just did. Shit, if I was running the UFC I'd be pissed off at her for those comments.

Season 15 was live and season 17 saw some huge changes in the production. There's not nearly as much in house stupidity as there used to be, it's been about the fights since season 17.

[Before she could finish her sentence, Ronda interrupted her and said, 'You shut your mouth when I’m talking to you. You don’t open your mouth. When I speak to you, you sit there and listen and shut your mouth.' She said that to the producer.]

In that linked article, Hallman also said: "I do think that Ronda has some sort of mental health issue. It’s either that or she’s severely immature. She acts like a 14-year-old boy trapped in a woman’s body, always trying to make everybody think that she’s tough when really she’s not sure of herself." :jaw:
Thanks!
