Looks like the leg collector Paul Harris himself just added another limb to his mantle piece. Jon Screaming in pain looks pretty legit... I've seen too many people online already say that Palhares held on too long.... I've watched a dozen times and I don't think he did.... Either way I hope he enjoys his time off because Jake Shields is coming for him!!
Well, i've also seen the video more than a couple of times and i think he got the hold a second or two too long.
Fitch is injured because of that btw...
Looks like an immediate let go to me as soon as the ref jumped in.
Problem with that lock is it doesn't start to hurt until it's too late. Fighters need to be more responsible as well when it's locked in they need to acknowledge it.... they try to get tough and stay in there thinking they're gonna roll or pull out of it.
The minute they feel pain their knee is already coming apart.
Watching this fight, and his destruction of dudes like Steve Carl and Mike Pierce really shows just how good Alan Belcher's Jiu Jitsu is. No-one in MMA has been able to shut down Palhares' guard like Belcher. I need to go back and watch that fight, was awesome.
What do you expect from Palhares? He's a one trick pony with a simpleton brain. That being said, it's Fitch's own fault for taking this fight and moreso for allowing it to go to the ground the way it did.
Should have tapped earlier. His leg looked ****ed up a good 3-4 seconds before the tap and he wasn't gonna power out of that anyway. Palhares released it as soon as the ref touched him. This one is Fitch's fault IMO.
That does seem to be his piece of the human anatomy he likes to collect isn't it? Honestly I can't tell if he held too long or not. Also the ref coming in too late may have contributed.
