These are the 16 best they could find?

The quality of opponents this season is a joke. Except for maybe 4 guys, the rest are horrible. I'd even go out on a limb here and say I could kick Bowmans ass and I don't even train!

Are you telling me outa all the people in the US, this is the best 16 you could come up with? People with 0-0 records? WHAT?!

We have yet to see one even half way close match. They've been very one sided. It's blantantly obvious that over half of these dudes were chosen for pure camera entertainment value.

Just had to get that off my chest.

It's a reality show; they need 10+ marketable tv personalities and they need 2 good fighters for the show to work.

TUF should go on 2-year hiatus and let the unsigned talent pool replenish. I feel that they're somewhat scraping the bottom of the barrel. Yeah there's always a chance of hitting a jackpot and finding raw/potential talents, but the overall quality of the future batches of TUFers as whole won't be as good.

So true, and those 10 personalities will be marketed in a way everyone thinks they're actually good.

Half of these guys make me want to fly out to Vegas next time they have a LW audition and try out, it's getting ridiculous.

Not sure if anyone listens to the Jordan Breen show, but he listed off about 30 LWs who are either unsigned or with smaller organizations (which usually aren't exclusive) that could be on the show instead of most of the guys they have.

What the **** ever. How were they supposed to know that Dorian Price, with over 10 years Mui Thai kickboxing practice, would suck? How would they know Serras boy Joey Scarola would suck? How would they know that J-Rock, Miles, and several others would just get their asses handed to them? the ONLY person I can see being a joke is Bowman (And I COULD beat his ass) everyone else seems like they have potential.

J-Rock

really? i thought he was horrible, he looked scared to get hit IMO.
He was scared of the takedown, most people with open and low hands are worried about stopping the td

It's also funny how you can tell who's there bacause they're good and who's there for their personality. In most cases the quiet and unoticeable ones are the good fighters.

I noticed that too.

I think they are just using the camera personalities because their ratings are slipping and the show is getting stale. And it kinda is, the hiatis idea doesnt sound half bad.

i dont think the show is getting stale, i thought season 5 was pretty good. i liked all the seasons except for 2, that one was pretty stale imo.

They pick a wide range of fighters with alot of potential.. regardless of who wins, you'll see JRock, Dan, Mac, George, Ben, Tommy, + possibly more of them.. all fighting in the UFC, most likely on undercards or ultimate fight night to start.

They arent bad fighters, they lack experience.. they have potential and everytime you see them after this season their skill will sky rocket.

Danzig is comedy on this show. He's clearly above the rest and is just there to pick up the check. George and Arroyo look good as well. It will be hard for any season to top the first, unreal talent pool: Leban, Swick, Forrest, Bonnar, Koscheck, Diego, Quarry, Florian, etc. are all still in the ufc.

The first season only had to find 8 people for each weight class. And even then there were some stinkers on that season. Does anyone know where Lodune Sincaid, Jason Thacker, Josh Rafferty, and Sam Hoger are nowadays?

eeesh. honestly i noticed that last season. seriously only 4 guys were good, the others could suck my balls. and im not just saying that as an guy who would hide behind a computer screen, half the guys on last season were horrible, i have friends who train with me that are just better, noticably better.

Why don't they get some guys who actually have some MMA experience under their belts instead of guys who have "potential"?

I think they should do a 145lb show to feed the WEC, or start using all the TUF seasons to round out the WEC roster, since very few unknown guys actually belong in the UFC anyways.

Funny, cuz season 2 prolly had the most overall talent, prolly why it was so stale.

I agree with the OP, I've been wondering the same thing.

They have one fighter on this show that could make it in the UFC, and that is obviously Mac Danzig.

They should have just called this show TUF: Mac Danzig, because all this show is, is an obvious marketing tool to market Mac Danzig into the UFC. They knew what they were doing when they threw an experienced well rounded fighter like Mac with a bunch of guys that have suck shit as fighters.

It's a great way for them to showcase Mac because it'll get him that TUF demographic group to root for him. I do like Mac, I can't help but to root for the guy and his personality I do like, but this show was obviously tailor made for Mac to win it.

All this talk about how some of these fighters are talented...no, they are amatuers. All this talk about George? Does anyone actually watch this show? This guy is as slow as Lutter and telegraphs everything, he wouldnt stand a chance against Danzig nor anyone really in the UFC.

I completely agree here.. The only good fighters I see in this show are Matt Arroyo, Mac Danzig, and Georgey boy. The rest.. pretty much suck.

I walk around at 155 lbs, and I swear I can kick half those guys' asses.

@ above poster: the only problem is Mac Danzig is a 155 lb. fighter. After the show he's likely to drop since he only put on weight for the show to get in the UFC.
