Hey urr'one...

I've been training in Muay Thai for about a year and weightlifting for about 4 years (infrequently granted). Looking to get into a better training and nutrtion regiment, and maybe try a few fights eventually (in muay thai or mma).

Currently living in Japan as a teacher, which is great for martial arts, but I've yet to find any of the ones I'm interested in in my area (BJJ, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing), so I might have to come up with some new ideas.

I'm 6 foot 7, and about 200 lbs. Looking for advice on getting bigger while keeping defined, improving strength, and perhaps recommendations on martial arts that would be most beneficial to my Muay Thai/MMA training, given the fact I live in a town of 30000 in rural Japan, with none of the aforementioned styles available.

Cheers,

PCO

Lastly, enjoy your stay.

P.S. If you want to get bigger, and stay cut....make sure you have enough protein in your diet.

Buy Whey protein, 1 scoop=20 grams protein
Don’t buy shit more than 20 grams because you can’t process that much protein in one serving (40 gram protein drinks = waste of money).
Have 1 gram of protein per 1/2 pound u are - for instance have 5 drinks through the day if you weigh 200 pounds. The drinks will also suppress your appetite - know what I’m saying?

Buy one of those mixing drink things, add 8 oz's of water & a scoop of protein (don’t buy banana protein - it doesn’t powder well - buy strawberry) and drink.

Just make sure you have protein before you work out and right after.

You'll need to eat more than the normal person would...and when you lift - one week go heavy weight with low reps to increase power, and the next week go light weights with high reps to get more definition.

Thanks for the advice. One question though, I'm under the impression your liver can't process that much raw protein in a day? That's what the health store lady told me at least.

Cheers
