Most Underrated Fighter?

OK we've done who we think is the most overrated so now lets do who we think is the most underrated fighter in the UFC.

Tim Sylvia- Its amazing how underated he is on here. Not just underrated but just hated to the point where you think he raped somebody's mother or something. He doesn't get credit for anything. He also gets a bad rap here for being the most boring fighter in the UFC which is just rediculous considering that almost all of his fights in his career end by knockout (he has only gone to decision like three times in his entire creer, only twice in the UFC). In addition almost all of those knockouts are in the first round and are usually highlight real material.

Evan Tanner- He just seems to get ignored. He is a great fighter that hardly ever gets mentioned.

Danny Abbadi- Just kidding.

Anyone else?

A lot of us still respect Evan Tanner. It just that he disappeared from the face of the planet.

Come on, Sylvia could have 100 knockout wins and would still be the most boring fighter, because even his knockouts are boring as shit.
and if you can knock someone out and have it be boring, thats saying a lot.

almost everyone mentioned; silvia, tanner, ken flow have either held the title or at least been given a shot at the title so i wouldnt really say they are underrated. they might not be impressive but i dont know how you can be underrated when you have been a champ. its the fighters that get pushed to the side or never given a fair shot that are underrated. karo would be the most underrated for me. he has a few loses but he is very young and can bang with anyone around. look for him to be at the top of the division if not the champ in the next 2-3 years!!!!

David Terrell was the first that came to mind.

Terrell could be a force in the MW division. Sure, he got pounded by Tanner, but once you get pinned up by the cage(By a wrestler), your bound to get pounded. Terrell still threw a really nice high kick in the Tanner fight.

the dean of mean keith jardine.
He has an mma record of 11-3. he was able to beat up bonar pretty bad in a match he should have won. he has great stand up and I think he could be a big force in the ufc. He hardly gets any fights and nobody ever talks about him :dunno:. he seems prety under underrated to me.

Tim Sylvia - He's a very underrated champion, and he gets no credit on these forums. He's improved by leaps and bounds since his debut, he's cleaned up his boxing and he's good at keeping the fight on the feet because of his size and reach advantage. Like people have said, his fights are exciting because he (usually) wins decisively. I guess people like Atom Danger wouldn't realize that because the only person he's knocked out was probably his little sister.

So true. So true. Sylvia does what works for him getting him knockout wins. I don't think he's underrated at all. Just hated because he comes off as an ass.

Sylvia can't be like Mirko, Fedor, or Nog. He's a big dumb oaf, and that works for him. He lumbers around, and KO's people. It works for Big Tim. He can't do a bunch of flashy subs, throw people around like ragdolls, or technical strike, because that's not him.....that's not Big Tim.

Plus, Sylvia vs Cabbage ruled.

Keith Jardine was in somebody's corner at PRIDE Real Deal. I forget who though.

I always thought that Ivan Salaverry exciting. Forest Griffin could easily be fighting Chuck instead of Tito and we would all be talking about an upcoming slugfest. Tim should have layed AA out in their 3rd fight instead of playing it safe. Now the only way for him to get respect is going to be by beating up one of the Pride HW's that everybody thinks is so great.

Exactly. Tim isn't a technically sound fighter, but he throws his punches with bad intentions. The thing that I respect about him is the fact that he tries HARD to improve. See his fight with Tra Telligman. You would have never expected the dude to throw a high head kick because apparently that isn't Tim Sylvia, but he's shown tons of improvement, even since that fight. His boxing is way sharper than when he handed Cabbage his ass, he has a much more traditional boxing style, but still that awkward movement that has to throw you off.

Sylvia gets my vote for most underrated, especially on here. That's for damn sure.

tim's a very technically sound fighter, especially his striking....watch the fights against ricco and, tra, and mgee...he alwaya keeps his chin tucked in, shoulders up, hands always up and hes prolly the best HW striker in the UFC... getin tired of everyone knockin on him on this site, ppl saying "ow well he crapped his pants, hes boring to watch"... who gives a shit he still ****s ppl up (he KOd Ricco when ricco wus in the top 5 HW in the world after beatin Couture, and he KO'd AA and beat him again) only boring fight ive seen him in wus the rubber match between him and arlovski, cus he took arlovskis leg out with some kicks and AA couldnt do muchafter that....idk wut fights ppl are watchin but he pretty much knock everyone out idk think thats very boring....seems like pridenutthuggers rule the majority of this site and its now the cool thing to thinkk Sylvia sucks...any none biased true MMA fan knows his a tough fighter and hes knocked out a lot of toughguys...give him some ****in respect, def. the most underrated fighter in all of MMA

Depends on the damage Cro Cop does with his leg and body kicks to get Sylvia to drop his hands then he'll start going for the head to try and finish him. Tim, on the other hand, has to look to step inside those body kicks to counter with those long telephone poll rights and lefts as Cro Cop's chin is wide open when he kicks. Whoever works either of these two stratedgies to perfection, gets the ko.
