Sounds like a gimme fight to Kid although I've never heard of Joseph Benavidez before so I don't really know how good he is.

I'm kinda suprised DREAM couldn't find a bigger name fighter for Kid, but I guess if the fight is at 35, they don't really have much competition to choose from.

Lotus, you sound like you've seen Benavidez..., how do you see the fight playing out?

Makes me mad we have to wait till the end of July, but never the less happy Kid gets to whip some ass. I don't think this fight will go to the ground. I think Kid will want to throw with JB and each time that JB wants to go the ground Kid can stop him from taking him down. Kids got too much to get beat by this guy.

How much did he weigh when he fought Rani Yahya?

Just thinking, since DREAM has Kid, how cool would it be if they had some sort of 145 GP? Bring in Hioki, Pato, Tamura, Sato, Lion, Imanari and Mishima and have them go all out. Of course, Kid would be in the GP, too.

But then again, I'm the king of wishful thinking.

I think the fight with Yahya was at 143 or 145.

I don't really know why this is being seen as a serious fight. I think KID will take this by sprawl and brawl. He's got the better striking of the two guys, and he's got by far the better wrestling, so I don't think that this guy is going to get this to the ground (where it looks like he wants it).

KID'll take this in round one, too.

Yea dude I know it's hard to believe, but get this: Kid's not actually a bionic superhuman like what was once believed. He is in fact, just a normal human. A side effect of this is that he ages, and fighting guys 2 weight classes above you all the time is actually not that good for you, as opposed to fighting guys your own weight. Shocking, I know, but true.

Also, the LWs in the UFC walk in at around 160-170 usually anyway. Kid don't need to be effing with that kinda shit at this point in his career. Just be happy it lasted as long as it did (him fighting lightweights I mean).

Hell yea my boy gonna be makin it to 18-1 here soon. Guess I shouldn't get too confident, anything can happen. But damn, it's Nori we're talkin about here, and he's fighting "some dude". Should be a good one, like usual.

BTW, damn. I can't believe how many Kid avy's and sigs are being sported all the sudden. Back a few months ago I think I was one of the only guys on here sportin a Kid pic. Nice to see some MMAforum'ers RECKONIZE Nori for the lil beast he is :thumb02:

Can't wait to see Norifumi whip some ass again. I wish he'd start fighting more regularly again. Wonder if they'll just give him the DREAM Featherweight Championship, since they're obviously not going to have a Featherweight tournament to decide the champion.
