C.B was supposed to be this "wrecking machine", and it turns out that he ain't really all that good. His Lay-and-Pray style is boring as hell to watch, and to make matters worse, he thinks that in every fight he takes, his opponent is the "under-dog".

I hope Amir smashes him good this coming Saturday.
Who's with me!?!

For me it was when he fought Cale. I was like really man? They said he was the best on Rampages team and he looked more than half shitty against Cale who was on the lower tier of Forrests team IMO and i was like if he is really having issues with Cale then I don't think he is all that he's cracked up to be.

I do however think its absolute BS that Amir should have to fight him again. But like Dana said I can only see Amir getting better and sharpening his game we arn't going to see any major changes in CB though because he is a wrestler through and through. IMO Amir takes the Finale by KO or CB blankets his way to a decision.

Im just praying Amir works on the sprawl though he is great at maintaining guard once on the ground.

C.B. Showed Great wrestling and some real solid stand up at times.
He needs a gas tank obviously but he has a very bright future.

I'm not sure why you are calling what he was doing LnP but w/e.

I mean, coming into this show, CB was known for his wrestling, and he proved how good is wrestling was. He was able to take Amir down with little-to-no gas left in the tank. Everyone expected CB to come in and GnP his way to the finale, which he almost did flawlessly, had it not been for that swank armbar Amir pulled off!!

I never realized how bad CB's standup was until the fight with Amir, and then his fight with Tim C. He sort of ducks his head and swings, and the guy has a glass jaw, big time. It's obvious his cardio wasn't where it should've been, and I really hope that he worked on it between the finishing of the show and the finale.

I think this is a difficult fight to judge CB's abilities. They both came in not knowing they were supposed to fight. There was no weigh in or weight cutting so its possible there could have been a 10lb advantage for one of them, either one of them could have been up late the night before, etc......

Fight was 3 weeks after the end of the show they had more time to prepare for that than any of the other fights. And just cos they didnt show a weigh in doesnt mean there wasn't one - unless you know something that wasnt sed on the show.
Hope Amir woops CB's ass, nothing against CB but yeah he does seems a bit over hyped and Amir is a legend.

I was actually surprised that CB actually won the fight against Tim. To me Tim had more ring control and landed more shots through out the 3 rounds. I feel like a lot of weight was added to the take downs that CB got. To me the take downs were just both guys having empty gas tanks. Tim was able to get up right after each one anyway. Which makes the take downs worthless in my opinion. I scored it rounds 1,3 for Tim and round 2 CB. :dunno:

I can't say C.B. was exposed or anything like that. It wasn't his best fight last night. It all comes down to he is a wrestler. The wrestling style isn't flashy by any means. A lot of people call it lay and pray but he is good at what he does and that's wrestle. Will that get him far with top guys? I don't know. Amir did a great job he just isn't as good a wrestler and wrestling is a great base to have in mma.

Before the fight with Amir, CB said he knew Amir
was the underdog, but he wasn't going to take him lightly
or overlook him. After the fight CB said that he didn't think
Amir could get the armbar so he left it in. What kind of crap is that? It sounds to me like he did take him lightly and paid for it. CB irritates me cause after beating Tim, he stated that in his rematch, we are going to see the real
CB. What does that mean? Don't get me wrong, I think he has a lot going for him, but he just didn't live up to the hype.

Calm down guys how many different fighters do people defend when they lose in the house saying it's not a good enviorment to show your full skills. But when a guy who's a prick says that with a full training camp he will show the real him you guys flip. He's not a great guy but he isn't the devil.

He's cocky true however fighters leave themselves in submissions all the time when they don't think their opponent is in position to lock it in. Amir just pulled a crazy armbar.

Leaving his arm in a submission that he didn't think could get locked in isn't taking his opponent lightly.

I for sure thought CB would be more impressive during the TUF comp then he turned out to be, after reading about him I expected alot more and that he would win without too much competition. After watching him fight I have not been impressed. He has a little bit of power but his striking was pretty lax and suppose BJJ guy in Crueder I thought won the stand up with him, and he got subbed by a guy in Amir who is pretty inexperienced. If he fought a decent MW in the UFC I don't think he would last long. However if he works really hard I don't see why he couldn't become a top 10 UFC MW, but still a far cry from competing w/ the likes of a Rich Franklin
