This Junie business is where it jumps the shark.

First and foremost, Dana is a businessman. The thing is, this season he moved from the fight promotion business to the reality TV bullshit drama trainwreck business. I've lost some respect for the man because he's sold out the soul of what he did so much to build.

He has previously kicked many people off of the show, giving them the speech about how representing the UFC is an important 24-hour obligation not to be taken lightly. He was right.
This complete about-face is the beginning of the end.

As someone who remembers when MTV was about music videos, I will miss the days when the UFC was about fighting. They are numbered.

im not excusing the broken glass, but as far as the legal implications, i bet the zuffa contract covers all medical costs and also mitigates minor injuries like that. it would be insane to run a training camp like the TUF gyms without a clause that mitigates minor skin injuries at the very least. cuts like that can happen easily during standard training. TUF i'm sure covers all bills and I can't see zuffa leaving themselves open to litigation over little cuts in their contract language.

so while it doesn't make what Junie did ok, it certainly makes Zuffa's position better than had he cut some random in a bar. just pointing what could be a relevant difference legally speaking.

If you are looking at it from a position of Dana's integrity... don't. He is there to make money and produce the best fighter possible, thats it.

There was a time when a guy got kicked off of the show for jumping the wall of the house to scam on some chicks. Now a guy can jump the Octogon in a schitzo freakout with no consequence. It's not a legal exposure question, it's a question of maintaining a standard of dedication and behavior. That has been compromised.

Every reality-show failed actor out there already work out plenty and look the part. Now they are all going to train MMA for a month and get on the show. They will act like jackasses and take a dive just to get on TV.

You can make up all the excuses you want. Jesse Taylor was kicked off primarily to stir controversy, ratings, and bring CB back in the competition, plain and simple.

What Junie has done so far this season, had this been Danny Abbadi or Wayne Weems dude would have been gone by now. Not only does Junie fit the bill when Dana talks his shit about "bad for the sport" but the guy is just an incredible idiot, Junie that is.

I would have loved to have seen Nog just put him down. Junie's little impulse control issues have no place in the sport. His attitude towards his peers is one thing, but what is to stop him from holding a choke or breaking a limb in practice or competition? If his behavior is anything more than simply playing up to the cameras he really needs to lose his license.

When I knew he wasn't going to be kicked off I changed it to watch the debate and only changed it back until they moved on to something else. Since it looks like Junie is fighting next week- I honestly won't watch any of the show until it gets close to the fight. I can't handle anymore of listening to this freakin inbred moron actually try and use the english language or use trailerpark logic.

He opens his mouth and all I hear is this:

YOU ALL CRACK ME UP. YOU ALL CRY ABOUT JUNIE THEN SAY, YOU ARE CHANGING THE CHANNEL, AND WONT WATCH THE SHOW WHILE WHAT YOUR REALLY DOING IS WATCHING EVERY BIT OF IT, JUST TO COME ON HERE TO BASH THE GUY. JUNIE IS DOING EXACTLY WHAT OTHERS ON THE SHOW HAVE DONE, JUST DIFFERENT. YOU ALL DONT REALIZE THE GUY IS A DAMN GOOD FIGHTER, GREAT FOR T.V, AND WILL PROBABLY MAKE IT TO THE FINALS, IF NOT WIN IT! NOW ON THAT NOTE...DONT WATCH IT AT ALL IF IT'S THAT BIG A DAMN DEAL. SH*T YOU PEOPLE ACT LIKE YOUR PERFECT AND HAVE NEVER DONE NOTHING TO EMBARRASS YOURSELVES. IF YOU WATCH HIS INTERVIEW, OR READ THEM HE KNOWS HE SCREWED UP...HANDS DOWN, BUT AT THE SAME TIME HE WILL HAVE A CONTRACT JUST LIKE THE OTHERS THAT ACTED OUT IN THEIR EPISODES. LEBAN WAS ONE OF THEM, BUT THE GUY HAS COME A LONG WAYS IF YOU WATCHED HIS FIGHT LAST NIGHT! PEOPLE DO SCREW UP, THEN LEARN FROM THEIR MISTAKES. NOW ON THE EMBRED NOTE! THAT CAN "AND" DOES HAPPEN EVERYWHERE. HE IS A FIGHTER THAT JUST SO HAPPENS TO LIVE IN KENTUCKY, BUT A DAMN GOOD FIGHTER THAT I DOUBT SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO BE SCREWING HIS COUSIN...LOL! SOME YOU PEOPLE ARE ABOUT AS STUPID AS A DAMN IMBRED. ALL I CAN SAY IS QUIT CRYING AND STOP WATCHING THE SHOW IF IT'S THAT IMPORTANT...LOL! "KEEP DOING YOUR THING JUNIE" YOU ROCK!!!

Honestly, I understand that they have a Reality show to promote, but keeping Junie is just ridiculous. That's exactly the kind of people that I don't want getting into MMA.

I'm just sick of the whole concept at this point.

I don't think anyone can fathom the number of attention-starved buttholes that are watching this season planning to someday be the next Junie Browning.

I'll be skipping the next episode and just catch the fight at the end. And if Junie's ever on a PPV, I won't buy it, just because he's on it. I think this is a really bad direction to take the sport in.

Junie is a looney, but if everyone is so sure he has no talent, why make a big deal if hes going to be eliminated by someone in the show? Aside from that, I'm taking Phillipe as the winner, hopefully against Junie in the finale. I think if Junie backs up his talk, this would make for an epic fight.

Dude that was the best two part sitcom like ever. No one knew if Fonzie was going to be able to make it over the shark or if him and his leather jacket(yes he wore it with the bathing suit) would be eaten up.

The first part of the episode left you with the ultimate cliffhanger of whether or not Fonzie made it. It was awesome TV. :thumb02:

I was only more worried when Pinky Tuscadaro was hit during the demolition derby with the Malachi crunch by the dastardly Malachi brothers. Thank god she survived.

Im agreeing with the OP - Even from a business POV, Junie is so offensive and so out of line that he is a turn off to even look at.

How could keeping Junie in the house possibly be a good business move? If this TUF season was my introduction to the UFC I dont think Id want much more to do with it.

Keeping Junie in the house is wrong on so many levels... and yeah where is Dana's same moral guide lines he had for everyone ells?

The drama I love but Junie is so far past good TV/drama that its sickening.

By some chance he makes it to the end... I bet he gets the biggest BOO ever heard...

I think he needs medication

IF YOU AIN'T FIGURED IT OUT YET, TUF IS ALL ABOUT DRAMA, AND FIGHTING. THERES NOTHING ABOUT IT SUPPOSE TO BE THE "NICE GUY" SHOW. TUF 8 IS GOING TO BRING MORE RATINGS THEN ANY OTHER...GAURANTEE IT! YOU ALL ARE HARD UPON JUNIES NUTZ, BUT IN ALL REALITY I COULD SEE IF HE COULDN'T BACK HIS MOUTH UP, THEN YEAH THAT WOULD MAKE HIM OUT TO BE A MORON, BUT APPARENTLY UFC SEES GOOD THINGS TO COME WITH JUNIE, AS "HE IS" THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE SHOW, PLUS A GREAT FIGHTER! IT WOULD BE PRETTY DAMN BORING HAD HE NOT BEEN THERE. WITH THAT SAID...GO JUNIE! OH AND DANA OF COURSE...LMAO
