Lets play a little game, who do you all think has the worst ground game in the UFC. So bad its painfull to watch lol.

I nominate Houston Alexander, being bored with some time to kill I decided to rewatch his fight with Erik the red and couldnt help but laugh at how bad Houstons ground game is. I dont even practice MMA and I boldly think i could do a tiny bit better :) His legs just seem to flop around limply, not using them whatsoever! I really dont even think he put any effort into his ground game because there was NOTHING and Erik is a black belt I believe.

Lets have a laugh, post up your worst ground gamers!

you also get to see some of the best illegal knee's ever thrown IMO

Chuck.

Awesome at using wrestling and the cage to bounce back up...but is that really a ground game?

(I just wanted to throw someone else out aside from Houston ;) )

It was scary how quickly the name Houston Alexander popped into my head when I saw the words "worst ground game."

It hurts to watch. Paul Daley, Drew McFedries, and Houston Alexander should tap the moment their feet leave the ground, mid-air before ass hits mat if possible.

Well, Abbadi was the worst ever to step in an Octagon, at least in recent memory, but here are a few others that I think should be brought up.

Houston Alexander has already been mentioned, and he's definitely an awful grappler. He has no awareness of his arms and no ability to defend the clinch.

JT Money, while usually completely unfit for discussion, is right up there. I'm aware that he's a decent wrestler, but he has the submission defense of a retarded gorilla.

Of any of the fighters at the top tier of the UFC, I think that Rampage is one of the worst grapplers. His performances on the ground have never been impressive.

Heath Herring was right up there, to be sure, as are Cheick Kongo and Antoni Hardonk.

Mendes is actually solid on the ground. Not world class or anything but he's actually no slouch.

Thiago really is amazing on the ground but to be fair he hasn't faced a good MMA grappler yet so we will have to wait and see against Lyoto.

Cornbread is actually very quick to respond to threads without thinking just to up his post count. I never consider his opinion until his 2nd or third post in the same thread when he seems to start thinking intelligently beore posting.

Sorry cornbread, I had to say it. I dont want to sound mean but its been bugging me for a while :(

EDIT: and to stay on topic, Alessio Sakara deserves an honorable mention for his ground game, as it is almost inexistant.
