What Happens To Tito if he loses?

I think this fight for Ortiz is a must win. He has not proven himself in quite a long time now. He has beaten Shamrock 3 straight times, a guy who was ready to retire before there first fight. Tito almost lost to Forrest a very close decision in my opinion. Now he is fighting someone who is peaking in their division Chuck. If he loses this fight where would he go especially after already losing to Chuck before and Randy before that?.

He got several other wins after his lose to Randy and Chuck. He beat Patrick Cote, Vitor Belfort (who had just lost the title), Forrest Griffin and Ken Shamrock twice. Thats five straight wins so one lose (even a big lose to Chuck) will not end his career. I mean he is not in a most win situation where if he loses he is gone from the UFC.

I personally think Tito is overated. Don't get me wrong he is a good fighter. But no where near the top 5 of the light heavy weight division world wide. The only thing that makes him a household name in MMA is his charisma and antics. If he looses Dana will find a place for him. Tito sells PPVs

i apologize i was off on the wins total and i agree Ortiz is a house hold name; however i feel Ortiz has no proven himself as a legitmate contender by fighting Shamrock 3 times. Now i know Dana is thinking about the paycheck in this one because realisticly i think a rematch between Forrest and Ortiz was in order before Ortiz and Chuck.

PS the only problem i see with my opinion is no one else has established themselves as a contender in the Light Heavy Weight division.

see its win win for liddel because he can lose and still some of his fans wont jump on the ortiz bandwagon, he will get another shot at tito later.

but if ortiz loses his already hurt fanbase will be hurt again and he wont get a rematch with liddel or another title shot unless someone besides rampage takes liddels title away.

Lol, id cry if Chuck actually lost. haha, well not cry but be VERY angry and throw things...call me a sore sport but hey, if your favorite fighter lost his belt you'd probably be pissed too. :dunno:

I dont see how Tito could come back after another loss to Chuck. When 99% of your appeal is bravado and shit talk how do go on when you get repeatedly b!tch slapped like a prison snitch?

I'm sure he has a bright future in the WWE.

This is a must win for tito. Yeah he has had some wins but his fame has been dieing out. That loss to chuck lidelle and the loss to randy really hurt his career. He is hanging by a thread right now. That and he already has already had drama with the UFC. Remember awhile back he wouldnt fight so they had to make a interum champion for the division?

All those things come into play. If Tito loses to chuck now we probably arent going to see another tito vs chuck. He might lose his apeal from a another loss to chuck. On the other hand we might not see him disapear completely but he might have to go the way of sobral and start from scratch all over again and try to fight his way back up to another title defense.

It really depends on how he preforms this time around. If tito gets dominated and overwhelmed it may well be the end of his career. If he wins or gives us a hell of a fight then we might see him back soon. His career is on the line with this event

I come back for one day and this site has been taken over by crackheads?!?!? Are you guys insane? How is this a "MUST WIN" for Tito. The guy hasnt lost since 2004, and before that 1999.....call them "easy wins" vs Shamrock all you want, and a controversial decision against forrest (which by the way wasnt as close as most of you think) but a win is a win. Tito is by no means done if he loses to Chuck, but he will be out of title contention for quite a while I agree with that. Once again, remember the man is only 31 years old, and hes at the top of his game, we'll be seeing him for a long time to come.

I think if he loses this match he is going to fall off for awhile. If he loses he is going to need to make quick moves to market himself and to set up fights to start building his momentum again. Really if he loses it all depends on what he does after the loss that will make or brake him but hey I dont want to count him out yet I still beleive he has a chance.
