He can come back but he needs to fight elsewhere for a year or so reguarly, he and some at UFC were too unrealistic getting him back at this moment in time.
He could come back and be a reasonable opponent for any fighter given time, lets not forget how he improved after getting the crap kicked out of him by Ian Freeman.
Coming back and being in the same shape physically – and mentally – and expecting to succeed in an elite combat sport, after an accident like that, must be really hard. I can't imagine how tough it's been for Frank, and it's too bad some people bash him for not being the same fighter he was.
Just the fact that he's been able to fight again is amazing, but T think he needs to take some time away from UFC to get his game together, fight in some smaller oragnizations to build wins and confidence, if he ever wants a shot at the title again.

I agree. I like Mir but he needs a lot of conditioning. I still think he has a shot at #1 contender.
