It's bound to happen sometime this year, the rematch between Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Chuck "The Iceman" Liddell. Last time they fought under Pride rules on Jackson home ring, now it's time for him to step into the octagon under UFC rules, can Jackson go 2-0 against Liddell or will the Iceman silence his critics and beat Rampage. Who do you think will win?

Who is this "old Rampage" I keep hearing about? Is he like the Rampage from the future coming back through time or something? Does he have a beard, and a big ass scar from thr liddell fight that hasn't even happened yet, or what?
Rampage hasn't been his "old self" since losing to Silva, when he was in Pride.

Chuck will have a much better chance with 5 minute rounds vs. the 10 minute first round they had in PRIDE during their first meeting. Chuck was gassed for sure. I think Rampage will win he is superior in boxing. Chuck swings wide, Rampage throws alot of straight punches and outjabs Chuck. Usually technical fighters can beat wild punchers and Chuck throws wild compared to Rampage. Rampage by TKO

I don't buy the old & new Rampage stuff. They both have alot on the line and it'll go to who is hungrier.

I'd like to see the fight between Rampage & Eastman first, but I'm still saying Rampage will beat Chuck again.

When you look at the way the first fight went, it woudn't have mattered if it was in the UFC octagon or the Pride ring. Rampage beat Chuck in Chucks' own element - the standup.

*edit* wtf double post? I'm pretty sure I hit the edit button, not reply. Sorry all.

btw about the 5 min rounds Cabby. I see your point, but Rampage had Liddells' number from the get go.

^^ Agreed, I watched their first fight not long ago and Chuck doesn't look much different from then. Since then he hasn't fought that many seasoned strikers either (Being generous I'll say Vitor, Vernon &.....?) which makes me wonder how he'll fair in a real war with someone who knows how to both give & receive powerful blows. Rampages fight with Wandy was very suspect, but if he's back in shape, like he says he is, then I'll have to go with Rampage. A tough one to call though.

I'll go with Chuck on this one, he may have not foughten any great strikers lately but i doubt hed take this fight lightly. Rampage is the only guy he hasnt avenged a loss against, hes definitely gonna put in some serious training and take this fight seriously. In fact, im taking back what i said about Rampage not being the same fighter he used to be in a previous thread, a knowledgable person once said..

"Rampage hasnt gotten worse, fighters have just gotten better."

the iceman will win this fight hands down, i was going to write a paragraph of why i think this but i've written it a thousand times on every other similar thread. i can't be bothered to argue with the chuck haters and the pride lovers but i promise you chuck will win

I'm neither a Chuck hater or a Pride lover. I actually like both Chuck & the UFC. I'm only going on watching fights and calling it the best I can from what I've seen. I just wish people would get their head out their arses and consider an honest opinion without bringing PRIDE v UFC or hater/nuthugger into the conversation.

i went with chuck. id like to see rampage take it. but right now, if they were to fight i think chuck would either ko or get the tko. its not like rampage had one bad loss against wand, he was thrown a beating twice. he then went on to lose to ninja (rampage got the decision, but jackson himself said to ninja after the fight "you won") then he fought shogun, that fight looked like it was rampages first. shogun made rampage look like a beginner. you could tell quinton wasnt the same after that. i do think that if he wins a couple fights, and gets the crowd behind him he could be very dangerous. the fans that dont know him are going to love him. hopefully his confidence comes back and he gets back to laying it on the line again.

I think Chuck will win because revenge is a huge motivator. Chuck wil be so ready for this fight, and this will be huge for his legacy because he will have avenged all his losses. I think this will be a very good fight, but with the 5 minute rounds and Chucks's use of teh octogon I think he can beat Quinton.

rampage beat chuck pretty bad in their first fight no denying that, chuck also got owned by randy couture in a similar fashion in the same year. what i'm trying to say is chuck was a good fighter when he lost both these fights but now he's a great fighter, after liddell v couture 1 randy said if chuck could sort some of his striking flaws out then he'd be awesome, when it came to the chuck v tito 1 fight after liddell destroyed tito randy said he thinks chuck has sorted his striking out and you only have to look at chuck's record since that fight 8ko's/tko's in 8 fights he's on top of his game now, he got owned by couture in their first fight and went on to knock him out twice so i think a rematch with rampage would go in chuck's favour and i see him knocking rampage out. (and yes i am a chuck nuthugger)

Both rematches with Randy, Randy didn't look right. The 2nd rematch he did look a bit better but in no way was he the same as he was in the 1st fight. He's only fought Alistair Overeem since then which you could call a real quality striker & several times he was rocked & went for the take down (when have you seen him going for the TD in the UFC :dunno: ). You could call Babalou but he made a schoolboy error chasing him across the ring & set himself up to get KTFO. The only way I think Chuck will take Rampage is if Rampage hasn't gathered his shit together. Otherwise I don't see enough differences in Chuck's game.
