Question Canadians: Is MFC a good show?

I'd love to see a live event, but the UFC is a bit out of my reach right now. MFC is having an event in Edmonton in early June, and I was thinking of going. It's a bit of a hassle to get there (3 hour drive) for me, I've only heard of one or two guys on the card (Valimaki for one), and the tickets are more expensive than I expected - so I'm a little hesitant to throw caution and cash to the wind and go.

Has anybody seen a live MFC event? And would you recommend it?

MFC (Maximum FC) is a Canadian outfit that I gather is split between Alberta and Quebec - and maybe Halifax. The biggest names from MFC are Jason "The Athlete" MacDonald, Patrick "Predator" Cote, and Victor "Matrix" Valimaki - so I'm guessing it can't be totally bush league. Having looked at the card, I've only heard of Valimaki and that's because I saw him fight Vernon White on The Score sports network.

The promoter Mark or Mike Pavelich (his Dad or uncle was a big time NHLer) has been on TSN's Off The Record (although I thought he looked like a cross between a pimp and one of the Designer Guys) - not exactly the highest praise, but the fact that he's been on a national sports show should indicate that MFC is not completely bush.

I'm not sure if it's spamming if I give the website, but Google "Maximum Fighting" and there you go.

I'd just hate to waste the time and money to go if guys here already know that it's a crap show.
