BJJ in the bar's parking lot.

For the most part im pretty much against MMA streetfighting but this was for fun.

After have a few drinks at the local TGI Fridays, we were all chilling in the parking lot talking and laughing and what not. Then this kid who is much bigger then me as far as weight, he is kinda fat but also has muscle and he is taller then me though not by much. Well he starts like beating on this girl thats with us, not hard or anything it was actually flirting, but she was not feeling it. He was throwing punches and she was kicking him pretty hard.

The rest of us continued to talk and laugh as this went on, then suddenly i just felt the need to see how he liked he, so i jumped on his back sunk in my hooks and tried to apply the rear naked, due to the alcohol in both our systems we just feel to the ground on my back of coarse. So i kept trying to work the choke, but he was to strong and was able to turn over so now he is in my guard.

After a bit of struggling i applied the kimura which i was almost to tired to finish so i let that go and rolled him over, now i have a full mount, he immediately rolled that back over and im back on the ground. Refusing to let it end like this i rolled him again and this time was more prepared, i had a good base and my balance was top notch, he could not roll me and it was kinda funny, so he struggled for a bit and i thought up my next move and i quickly went for the armbar from mount position, due to the fact this was a play fight i was not going to rain down punches on him or anything to i just wanted to tap him out.

He has no training he is just a touch kid so i give he credit he locked his hands together when i went for the armbar, he was a fighter, it took me a minute but i eventually got his arms apart and ended our little parking lot feud.

Due to the drinks we consumed we felt nothing but i got bruised and scratched up alot as did he, the next day we both felt it.

However there is a point to this story and that point is that with proper training you can see results, everyone there including me and him were surprised at how he could not move me when i got full mount, i had a great base and balance just like i used in class and i just held him there while he used energy. it was a good learning experience for me for that reason and for one other, there are naturally tough people and stronger people, i could not sink the rear naked or the kimura because his brute strength kept me from doing so, but in the end my skill and speed is what did it.

/end

If you haven't learned it already try this next time. When you get the arm bar started and he locks hands take your leg that is across his face and straighten it out quickly a couple of times making the back of your knee slap his face. That will get his attention off of his arm then put your foot on the bicep of his far arm and push it away as you pull back with steady force. Its a little bit of "dirty jitsu" but it works for me.

Thats no problem, i got a new more demanding job that and trying to train just has kept me away from the PC. Being demoted is to be expected and i have no harsh feelings about it, maybe they will give me another chance after being around again

Things are starting to finally calm down. Good to see you!
