So yesterday me and three other guys from my Judo club went to a MMA school out of town where they had a cage and an awesome set up. After the 4-5 hour long clinic we were brought downstairs into their dungeon to have some fun in the cage. So me and my one friend from my judo class get in the cage together and first I have to say, being in a cage really was a lot different than sparring in a open matted area, it really changes your strategy quiet a bit. My buddy who is mainly a wrestler and me who is mainly a striker had a pretty nice match tho. I dominated the stand up and he took me down a lot. We both got a really good idea of what we need to work on for MMA and it was really cool to be in the cage
My question to you guys is, when you get in the cage do you guys also feel like it is much different than sparring on a open matted area?
