Ricco Rodriguez Added To Yamma Pitfigting Tournament

The New Jersey Athletic Control Board (NJACB) released the proposed card for Yamma Pit Fighting’s inaugural card on Friday, April 11, 2008, live from the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, New Jersey. With the event just under two weeks away, an interesting name has been added to the heavyweight tournament. Former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Ricco Rodriguez, will join veteran Travis Wiuff as the early favorites to win the tournament. Here is an updated list of the heavyweight tournament participants pending medical and licensing clearance by the NJACB.

Bob Meyrowitz, one of the originators and founders of the UFC, has also brought three of UFC’s early warriors to participate in two super fights. The “Russian Bear”, Oleg Taktarov, will battle another UFC veteran in Pat Smith and in the other super fight, Gary “Big Daddy” Goodridge will take on Eric “Butterbean” Esch. Here are the individual bouts that are pending medical and licensing clearance by the NJACB.
