Whats up, I just found your topic & just wanted to say that I'm a hardcore MMA fan in the Kansas City, MO area. I currently live in Liberty, MO. I have hardly any matial arts experience but I boxed for a short time. I have lots of instructional Books & DVD's raning from Saulo Ribeiro, Robson Moura, Demian Maia, Robert Drysdale, Cesar Gracie, Renzo Gracie, Eddie Bravo, Jackson/Vanarsdale, Duke Roufus & Kenny Weldon.

I also have Thai Pads, Punching Mitts, Trainer vest, belly pad, leg kick pad & my own sparring gear. Hit me up sometime if you're interested.

Problem is i dont know if there is anywhere around here where you can fight without being in a "school" or training currently with someone. There's just crap around here.

Crawford's American Ju-Jitsu and Xtreme Couture are in the KC area. Have you registered with the ISCF so you can fight in sanctioned events? I would think if you are as serious as you claim about MMA you'd be training with the best available school until you could find one that pleased you.

Yeah my friend actually trains at American Jiu Jitsu in Overland Park, KS & had his tournament this weekend. His training partner had a 135lbs title fight at the Ararat Shrine Temple on 11/14/2009. From what I can see, Crawford is one of the big names in the Kansas City area, his hands are involved in all MMA in the Kansas City area.

Also from what I hear, Xtreme Couture isn't open anymore.

This is exactly what KC needs. I'm 15 and I've been looking for the past year for a gym/training place that would work for me. I'm really looking for a way to get into professional fighting, and it's been nearly impossible finding a place that will be serious about helping someone my age get there. I'm currently in training to get my 3rd black belt in Kenpo, but the workouts just aren't enough for me. Let me know if anything comes of this. I live in Kansas City, kinda north by Gladstone.

I need a real trainer

As I am new to the world of mma and im only 17. I would really like to find someone to teach me mma. YouTube just isn't sufficient. For what little money I have and the heart I bring. I there is anyone out there that could train me in the kc area. I would really appriciate it
