MMA Club in Kansas City, MO
Forgive me if this is the wrong forum for this but I am new here. I am looking to form an MMA club near where I live. A place where we can train and evolve our fighting styles in a friendly yet analytical environment. No experience necessary just a desire to practice these disciplines. I bring to the table a unique perspective, an exhaustive knowledge of tactical combat, and years of martial arts. Most notably: judo, tae kwon do, kenpo, kickboxing, wrestling, and jujitsu. If you're interested send me a PM or if you already know of such a place let me know.
Thanks for your time.

I am trying to form one closer to home than those gyms and - much to my dismay - most of the mma gyms in KC are completey craptacular. Mostly guys trying to cash in on the mma boom so to speak. I want to make something seperate for all that. Not worried about making money with it. It's more about making fighters than anything else.
As for my jiujitsu it is of the brazilian variety.

exactly why i moved away from kc, some terrible training there. mostly bar fighters really.
and from my experience most of the real gyms around the world, had very little to do with money when they opened. gym i train with now, had zero money to start, people just kinda put there stuff together and got a building to hold it in.

Whiskey Tango's shudder
I am actually scarred by that place. It's the only place I have ever seen a fighter knock himself out with a punch.

MMA Clubs In Kansas City
There's actually a few decent fight teams here in Kansas City, but you have to know where to ask. We're having a show in Kansas City on December 12 so if you go, just look for the promoters and we'll send you in the right direction. If you just love mma and don't want to train, then come out anyway and look me up. In the meantime, good luck to all. Almost forgot, our website is, www.1zero8.com
I just finished a mma documentary here in K.C. but was also in Vegas and California to interview Bas, and Frank Shamrock. Hung out a bit with the guys from X-treme Couture in Vegas and they were pretty cool. My film's called "American Cage Fighter" so if you get the chance, check it out. Rob Kimmons from KCMO is also in it.
Peace.

Not to revive a old thread but i'm looking for the same thing. I too live in the north k.c. area and would rather not drive over an hour to southwest k.c. where lots of these places are around here. there doesnt seem to be anything on the westside.

It's good to see some interest in my idea. There has been precious little of that to date. So roughly where are you at? What have you trained in?
