welcome... I would contact the gym that you will be training at. Some gyms will have days when you do not need all of your gear. I would recommend as total gear needed: Gym clothes or Gi, Water, Mouth guard, groin protection (cup), hand wraps, MMA practice gloves(there are usually @ least 3 kinds: bag gloves, grappling, competition, the differences are usually suttle like the padding weight, thumb/finger coverage, palm coverage.)
Eventually for training I have also included head gear, boxing gloves (for bag/sparring builds hand speed), any kind of ankle knee guards you may require. For home training: Jump rope, Heavy bag, Focus Mitts, Kick Pads.
Please feel free to add anything I have missed. I know when I started, I really just needed gym clothes and water but was told when I would need my gear. So like I said check with your training facility or instructor.
