My first MMA fight!!!

This was my first MMA fight, I took it a day before. I haven't trained in MMA at all. Only kickboxing like 4 years ago. A little ground stuff here and there, but mostly nothing in the past 4 years. I thought it would be fun! I know I could use a lot of work, such as wrestling and my ground game. My striking is a little off to, lol. If anyone could look it over and tell me a few things I could work on, that would be awesome! I'm the skinnier guy with the longer hair.

Thanks. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

nice finish. Start training seriously and you'll be fine.

Thanks! I also gased pretty early. My cardio is horrible.

That's great mate. Good submission, I only watched the finish. How was the other guy's ground game?

My cardio is bad too, must be my intense training routine at McDonalds's:sarcastic12:

well, i didn't really give him a chance to work his ground game. i basically had mount the whole time we were on ground. he was 10 lbs heavier than me. i'm pretty skinny, and tall. so he was shorter and stout. pretty strong. any time i tried to strike, he just muscled me to the cage. by that time i was already gassed, haha. i just remember being so gassed that i was kinda mad when he turned his back to me. because i knew then that i actually had to do force myself to submit him!!! literally had no energy

You can pull things out of no where when tired. Sounds like you dominated and he tried to hold you on the cage for a very boring UD.

Congrats, was it a pro fight?

lol, no it was amateur. my friend actually had a fight that night and i was just tagging along. and on the way up there they asked if i wanted to fill in. so i said yeah. but it really got me pumped. so i'm going to start training again

Dude you should run. I do it and my cardio has gotten much better than what it was. And i dont even run far or so intense but i mix in sprints and stuff. Also get a buddy and roll with them for long periods of time, spar with them even you want to. Because running cardio and fighting cardio are kinda differnt you know what i mean? I can barley run a mile with out coughing up a lung but i can grapple for over an hour straight and be perfectly fine. a little tired but fine.

yeah, i used to run quite a bit. i used to be pretty into soccer. but i have slowed down on that to. work and school get in ze way. but i think cardio is definately one of the more important things to have in a fight!
