High metabolism can be circumvented, I'm 5'9" and my natural bodyweight was always around 125 - I too had an insanely high metabolism but it's a simple fix if you need to gain weight. The formula I used was 3 grams protein per pound of bodyweight (i.e. you weigh 150, you eat 450 grams a day) make sure you cram a lot of fiber in there too.L-Glutamine is a must as it will prevent your body from going into a catabolic state. Don't bother with creatine if you want functional muscle (instead of waterweight). Lifting 4-5 times a week didn't cut it for me, I lift twice daily plus a cardio workout, I alternate body parts so I don't lift the same thing every day but at least lift it every 48 hours. Ton's of sleep helps as well. Took me six months, but using this formula I shot up to 174lbs and dropped 6% of my bodyfat.

im only 5'7" but i walk at 158lbs... im fighting at 135lbs in less than 2 weeks. i feel wonderful and ive dieted down to 139 this morn and i wasnt fat by any means @ 158! dont listen to this foolishness of gaining then fighting at 170. if ur a blue belt from any legit school you wouldnt be on here asking what to do. we have coaches that know us and our body types to help decide that... not some kids that play on forums

Definitely cut to 145 man, you've got a high metabolism so it shouldn't be too difficult.

Thanks to limba for this AWESOME sig

No matter how fast your metabolism is you can still gain weight if you eat more. You need 6 meals a day eating every 2 hours. If you eat an additional 500 calories a day you will gain 1 pound a week. Every 3500 = 1 lb.

I have been eating 5 meals a day now, about 4000 calories, and I have got up to 166lbs in about a month and still have kept toned. I hope to be having my first fight sometime in the next few months.

Another thing you need to consider in your training is what kind of calories your getting. If your eating 4000 calories a day by eating 3 bigmacs it wont help you much. Now if your eating chicken and tuna and eggs and vegetables to reach your 4000 cals you will grow. remember diferent calories get processed diferently by our bodies so we gotta feed ourselves the calories that are useful to our bodies. not junk or empty calories.

people say either the world will end at 2012 or the aliens will finnally come back to us.....

i hope not cuz im writing a sci fi novel
