Take first fight for experience, or wait until you're confident?

I've heard mixed reviews on when to take your first fight. Some say to do it when you're 100% sure you're ready, and some people say to take it ASAP so you can make sure MMA is what you want to do. Your thoughts?

To be honest mate no one I know that fights in mma, is ever 100% confident when due to fight. The ones that are, normally have something missing or are called Anderson Silva fighting Demian Maia, lol. You'll get experience with fights, so I wouldn't worry about that, let your gym tell you if they think your ready, as they'll match you up with someone with the same level of skill and experience. I'd say to you if your not at least 80% ready mentally, don't fight as it's not a game, and you could get seriously hurt.
I hope this helps bud.

Take the fight when you're psychologically ready.

Don't mess with your own head or your record that way.

if you wanna be a fighter for real and go pro, do it as soon as possible, train hard and smart man and go in there ready. keep fighting consistently and keep learning and advancing your game. if you just wanna try fighting out, take your time and when you feel mentally and physically ready than go for it.

Thanks for the advice guys. I have gotten a couple of offers to fight already and have only been trainging a few months, so I was curious and hearing mixed reviews. I trust that you all know what you're talking about, so I'll wait it out until I feel pretty dang confident that I will win.
