Name for a MMA-team

Hey there everyone,

I've taken up martial arts about half a year ago, starting with jiujitsu and combining that with kickboxing and boxing. My university offers these, and many other sports, for an extremely low price (it's 92 euros a year for unlimited acces) so I thought to try out as much as I could. I've been training hard and regularly the past few months.
Not so long ago, I was invited by one of the blackbelts from jiujitsu to join the MMA-practices and I'm kind of hooked now, even though I lack a lot of martial arts experience (luckily I train with guys who have so they can teach me).
Anyway, one thing led to another and now we're planning to apply for a special status within the university that'll entitle us to financial backing.
What we need however, is a good name for the team. Something that's appropriate for a university team (I doubt name's like 'the skullbashers' will get us support from the board) but still has the right amount of impact. Something that is fitting. I hope you guys can help!

Well you can use your university mascot and put Fight Club, Red Devils FC, or Jamestown FC.

Thanks for your reply. Problem is, here in Europe we don't have the whole American way of university mascots so sadly that's not an option. Furthermore, the university itself is named after a bisshop from the Middle Ages... So there's really not much we can do with that name! But thanks!

where do you live what is the area like?
maybe you could put something in that describes the area you are in or the traits of the people involved in the group. Or have the name centered around something common with the main guy or leader. Or something about your workout routine.

For instance my gym is call The Core for two reasons 1 because we are the center of louisville and because most of our strength training that we do on top of our mma training is focused around our core muscles.

i often like the names for homes or dwelling.
Lions Den
Wolfs lair

What is a predominate animal in your area?
whatever it is put something like Cave Den Layer nest or pit after it and that can sound good or really just put any animal you want and it could sound ok as long as it sounds rather sinister.

Haha thanks, if only we had any cool animals around here. Someone in the group came up with ''Kaizen''. It's a Japanese business mentality that aims to improve everything. Not entirely connected to MMA, I know, but for now we think about taking that one.
