MMA Fight (Give opinion pls)

I'm the blond guy in red corner with lack of striking ability.
This was my first professional fight at 170lbs (77kg). (In Belgium it's only a semi-pro fight, but it's listed on Sherdog as pro)
Let me know what you think who won, or some general thoughts on the fight.
Also, the fight was in 2008 and I have been struggling with a knee injury since then.
I've started to train late 2011, and could use some good tips to improve my striking.
I moved up to 185lbs (84kg) aswell.

I don't know how to embed a video btw:

It doesn't sound like I can tell you alot more that you haven't mentioned already. Neither of you had a great stand up game IMHO.

Here is what I saw from what I watched..
- you need to be on your toes, not flat footed
- slipping, bobbing, rolling and general head movement were non- existent.
- Related to the comment above, you need tons more head movement when against someone with that much reach on you
- You turned away from kicks rather than tightening you leg and "bumping" the kick. checking the kick is also an option.
- you need to throw something back in your stand up, even if it is a few jabs with no intention of them landing. Give your opponent something to look at or perceive a threat while you do something else..

I didn't watch the whole fight but it seems like you did a good job on top and your opponent was not able to do alot. Good job there.

In summary, focus on kickboxing techniques for at least 6 months before your next fight, and probably a year after that. Your opponent was wide open for any number of body or head shot KO's.

Hope this helps. All my respect for stepping up!!

Thanks Halfraq9!

Surprisingly, my stand up game isn't all that bad in training camp. But I seem to have a black-out when I come into the ring. I'm familiar with ground techniques because I've trained Judo for over 8 years, so those techniques come naturally.

The turning away from leg kicks is due to the knee injury I mentioned earlier. It became worse that fight, injuring my knee cap. I think it happened when checking one of those kicks.

I know I need to land some jabs to set thing up but I'm having some trouble doing actually something on the feet.
And yea, I did quite some damage on top but I didn't want to punch myself out, but tried hard enough to hurt him a bit.

Now I need to find a good muay thai/kick boxing camp where I can improve my striking...
