show the gun then they normaly run like hell. Having a CCW helps a lot.

another thing is don't carry a lot of cash on you so its no big deal if they take the money. Normaly I just carry a few dollars for a soda machine or something and pay for everything with a credit card.If they seal the card all i have to do is call and have it canceled.

If you ever do get in a place where you have to fight the best self defense moves are the groin kick attacking the eyes and bashing their knees. Nearly all of you MMA training goes out the window on the street.

if you do get surrounded the most important thing to do is get to the outside. the best thing to do is explode out toward one move around and keep the stacked up so they can't surround you. If you clinch on you can kind move him around and kind of use him as a shield while you are hitting him.

There are different scenarios that have panned out in real life or are applicable in these scenarios.

1.) Give them the money cuz it's not worth being a hero UNLESS you are confident you can take them on. OR if you're just having a bad day and you don't give care about your life anymore then go Michael Douglas style like in "Falling Down."
2.) Throw the money and run.
3.) Do it mob style. Give them the money then remember their faces and get em afterwards. Vigilante style...bats to the ribs are best. It's like what they do in cop stations...beat you up with sacks of oranges so it gives you internal bleeding and doesn't show any cuts or lacerations.
4.) An acquaintance of mine knocked out several of his would be attackers, BUT got stabbed in the lungs in the process. Not before taking them all out though...

Depends on the situation if they're armed you'd be prudent to talk your way out of it unless you know they're going to hurt or kill you anyways then. Bottomline knowing martial arts doesn't give you carte blanche to hurt people unless it's in self defense of course. In that case swing away...

Give them the money. If they look like they are going to attack you anyways get the jump on them. Turn and face them and pray they are just looking to kick your ass and not stab or shoot like No_Mercy said about his friend.

But like I said give the the money 100 bucks aint worth being killed or put in the hospital

honestly buy this knife

http://www.bladehq.com/item--Emerson...-Knife-3--8419

It is a very shape self defense knife. the blade is under 4 inches so it is not classified as a concealed weapon.

the knife is perfect for self defense the hook onto of the blade will catch the edge of your pocket and open the knife automatically when you draw.

Learn to use it there are areas of the body to cut that will disable a person (like right above the knee for instance) if you get in such a situation. I carry it every day.

a little expensive but worth it.
