i used to date a ballarina waaaaaaay back in the day... she went through serious f'n training, so i really don't see that big of a cross over problem. the cardio's already there, the flexability and speed and footwork is definatly there, the work ethic and dedication and heart is there. before you start you're first class you're already 5 steps ahead of most people.

i don't see any ballet dancers anywhere heavier than lightweight divisions, but this is kind of intersting, your right.

There's a guy at our gym that takes dance classes. He has been doing MMA for 10+ years and says the dance really helps his game and overall coordination.
