Strange seeing the Lions as faves for this series, being that it looks like the test team likely be a Welsh majority, and Wales's record against Aus is horrible. That said, with Sexton/Heaslip/O Brian/O'Connell/ and possibly BOD as well (I'd like to see him paired with Roberts to see how they'll do, with Davies on the bench) it's like Wales with a twist.

Hogg is amazing but I don't see him getting the 15 place over Halfpenny right now. Halfpenny is too good right now, and his kicking game is just insane.

Murray played excellently against the Baabaas but Phillips is just on fire right now, but having another great scrum half to come on is amazing. Murray is playing exactly like Phillips right now.

Huge depth to the squad and another few games to see how well people are working together etc before the big tests.

Reds on Saturday will be tough, they've put out an extremely strong side.

I think if any club team will beat the Lions it'll be the Reds. Great team set forth and the Lions team isn't exactly a stellar line up from the players available to them.

I'm going to try to watch the Reds match but on delay because I have to go out of town to Texas tomorrow. Glad to see that they are putting more effort into their squad than the Force did. I bet the Brumbies can do it. It's a bummer the Lions best loosehead had to leave though.

Scraped a 1-0 lead. Nice seeing Beale miss that kick at the end purely from a Welsh stand point :D Though Aus would have easily won had their kicking game been up to par. Need more from the Lions next week.

I hope we get white washed even though I have already said this, that dumb **** kiwi robbie deans has never known what to do in his 5 years here and I want him sacked. And even with all these injuries he refuses to pick cooper and as per usual the nsw players and melbourne players lose the game for us. When we get ewen as coach and he picks only brumbies and reds players we will be a real challenge to beat.

Tense second game but scrappy. Aus deserved the win there. Always coming down to last minute kicks lol. When Warburton went off injured Lions defence and structure left the team. Vunipola gave away so many scrum pens in the first half its crazy, and that elbow he threw should have been a yellow imo.

Some weird picks from both teams, neither being at full potential due to weird choices and injuries. Bit frustrating.

the good thing is we will defiantly los ein crappy sydney and then deans reign of terror will finally be over. Fun fact the 10 he chose is actually a winger and 3rd best 10 at his own rugby club

Deans is just useless. Must be so frustrating not seeing your best 10 even mentioned.

Dunno about the Lions team. Warburton injured is a big hit. Not sure about Roberts being back at 12, and would have liked to have seen him paired with BOD with Davies on the bench. Or at least BOD on the bench. Gatland relies on Welsh power far too much, and it just isn't that effective against Aus. We've lost our last 8 games to you guys ffs. Fair enough the majority by 1-4 points or something in close contests but it's pretty much set that Aus can handle the power/blitz strat quite well and not buckle under pressure.

We'll see.

I personally would have used the huge irish and scottish packs and a few englishmen in there, and the flankers can be welsh. Then pick george north, mark cueto, manu tuialgi, leigh halfpenny and tommy bowe as the backs with BOD on the bench. The good news is after this game apparently win lose or draw deans is gone and we can finally go back to being a great team again after 5 years.

And ewen mckenzie or jake white will bring us back to the promise land once again, also did you see the world cup group stage draw for england 2015? Really dumb organisation wales, england and australia all in the same group meaning one of them have to be eliminated before the quarters.

Yes I knew it I knew we would lose the series and our worst game would be in horratahs land sydney, im so happy that they did this to us because now the 5 and a hald year nightmare of ding deans is over and that kiwi brainless piece of crap will go and we will finally be good again.

And to think people were saying Halfpenny was there due to Gatland's Welsh bias lol. Great performance and great test series. Halfpenny has to be at least nominated for IRB player of the year.

Hope Aus finally get a decent coach now. Deans was shocking.
