This is huge but it would have been a lot bigger 5 years ago. Now they are both winding down and close to retirement. Im still very pumped for this. Have they said how much floyd is taking home yet? My guess is 150 mill mayweather and 100 for.pac man disclosed.
I'm far from a boxing fan, hell, the only full fights I've seen were all Rocky parts...
I wanted to ask, are you still excited as **** for this? I imagine this is something like if GSP-Silva happened now, because of Silva's loss and the time that has passed, I wouldn't be half as excited for it than some years ago.
Still seeing how much attention this has had, the payouts, the cost of ppv, even I'm interested what is going to happen there
Anderson had a long layoff from an injury, 3 losses, and is coming off of a lacklustre performance against Nick Diaz.
GSP went down to the wire with his last opponent, losing in a lot of people's minds.
They also compete a weight class apart.
The only downer of Pacquiao and Mayweather is Pacman got KOed. Since then Pac has dominated some top fighters, won world titles again, dropped Algieri SIX times in his last fight. May had a close one with Maidana but easily dismantled him since then. Pacman Vs May is still as relevant as ever for me.
Pumped. This is huge. I think this fight could, could, go down in history as the biggest fight ever. Discounting the Thriller and The Rumble of course.
This is the last attempt that could be made to save professional boxing. It's the only fight that anyone has been looking forward to for years, and after it's over there will be nothing left.
Floyd will likely win and as usual he will go bankrupt feeding the whores at his local strip joint and Manny will go back to his Philipino politics.
Personally I lost interest in this fight a few years back after realizing that neither fighter was willing to undergo testing beforehand which tells me both fighters are juiced.
In any case, I'll be saving my $100 PPV money and using it for more constructive purposes.
^It depends if you like boxing or not. People who dont REALLY like boxing wont enjoy a Mayweather fight because they dont see guys getting rocked and stuff, but if you're into boxing it's like MMA grappling. You respect and enjoy all of the little aspects.
I enjoy and understand boxing. But whenever Mayweather fights someone who can put him to sleep it's a boring ass fight. Floyd does what he does and needs to do to win, so I can't blame him but I also don't have to enjoy it.
Mayweather will jab and jog all night while Pac chases him around trying to land his straight left. If you're a combat sports hipster and want to tell me I'm not a real fan because I don't enjoy that then fine, you got me I'm not a real fan.
Neither guy is going to do anything that could make the fight decisive. That way when the entire world goes ape shit saying it was a robbery there can be a rematch for twice the money.
Mayweather had a close fight with Maidana because Floyd underestimated him and thought he could put on a show and finish. Look at the rematch Floyd didn't stand in and let himself be worked to the ropes and try to counter out of the corners like in the first fight. That's the type of fight I expect in this one. Floyd will win rounds and land some but he'll be moving the majority of the time and he'll probably coast to a decision which will end up being a split or a majority and then we all talk about a rematch.
A little more time to bet if you good people want. I used to watch boxing all the time before I got interested in MMA ten years or whatever ago and it didn't seem like anything special anymore. But I remember enjoying Gatti vs Ward and others like that. Hopefully the one tonight won't let people down.
settled it for Mayweather the decision winner nice betting attention, John, Ape and Cupcake.
