My amateur fighter competed this weekend.
Roughly 1 year trained, fought up in weight (she's normally 115 but all they had was a catch 120). Thoughts? She's young and hungry, almost 19 and pretty fearless.
She's the short one with the braids or whatnot. |
Congrats!
Remembering what I've liked - fearlessness - that she also goes to the body with her punches - good conditioning what she could work on - distance management - she has the tendency to drop her guarding hand, both when she punches and when she kicks, which is an invitation for counters But good work so far! |
Thanks for the feedback! I've posted this on a couple different forums and everyone seems to agree her fearlessness and boxing are her best qualities. I'll be keeping an eye out for that lead hand drop while were doing pads. Nothing like getting hit in practice to make sure you don't get hit in a fight. Thanks!

Man she's relentless. She's like a Pitbull!
