How do you do the rear push kick/get max power out of it?
Is the rear push kick more powerful than the front one?
If so it must use the hips in a different way to the lead leg push kick (in muay thai)
So hows the rear leg push kick done basically?

You can't throw a front or rear push kick if your hips are not "open" you have to turn your opposed foot horizontal simultaneously with the hips this allows you one to.extend that kick much further and two it allows you to create and incredible amount of power also works with the leg kick it is a much more difficult way to.kick but I learned it from a kyukushin karate black.belt that I worked with in California it works great!
My trainer tells me to literally mimic the thai knee.
SO, if you know how throw the thai knee throw the strike slow.
say for example you want to hit the body, stop your knee strike around mid-level which would more than likely be the height of the opponent's crotch.
now if you want hit the face stop the knee right around the height of the abs on your opponent.
