Kajukenbo

Has anyone but me heard of this style? Is it useful at all for sport training?

Bump?

My brother invited me to start training Kajukenbo with a friend of his who will not charge me for the training. Should I do it? Of course I've looked at youtube videos and stuff, but it's always best to hear it from anyone with experience

Well it's a little late but maybe I'll catch you. Yeah, I've heard of it. It seems like a cool martial art. It put's you in real world situations with fighting and getting jumped etc. I would say it's legitimate to train but it will all depend on your instructors. They have guys well versed in different types of martial ats. The only thing I hate is that they do not allow you to be on the ground for more than 3-5 secs... So your BJJ will not be very good because they assume fights will never be fairly fought in teh street. Check it out. I would much rather to MMA training with BJJ, MT, Boxing and wrestling but if it's the only thing in the area I woiuld suggest taking it. I hope this helps.
