My brother was thinking oftaking it up a few ays ago. It looks.....difficult, but I wouldn't stroll into an MMA match like that.
It didn't work for that guy fighting Tony Jaa....

That movie was fuckin awesome. Tony Jaa is a legit bad-ass.
If that is Copoeira, it looks like it would do a number on you hands and wrists.

it could help you in mma because u learn flexibility and the kicks could be used in mma. and yea it does do a number on your wrists but you get used to it as time goes on

I'm not sure what kicks you mean, but if you are referring to those fancy spinning cartwheel kicks, then you re wrong. They could not possibly be used effectively in MMA. I'm sure there are techniques in it that could be useful, but it doesn't strike me as the type of martial art that can be applied easily to MMA.

Actually, because of how Capoeria is taught the cardiovascular benefits are extremely high. The other benefits would be increased flexibility, leg strength, sense of balance and body control. Now, I'm not going to say that you're going to see a cartwheel hook kick any time soon in MMA, but have you seen how well conditioned the better capoeiristas are? These guys can go about with their movements at full bore for a long, long time.
A few vids I found:

they dont really have contests but they have like large celebrations were people come from all over and they have a circle and two people go in it and you cant hit unless its going fast and intense and the other way to get out is if someone goes in and challenges the other person. my capoeira master actually does mma and he wins lots of fights
and when i talk about the kicks that could be used no i dont mean the spinning fancy kicks the straight high kicks , the ones that are almost the same thing as cro cop's kicks
