Muay Thai, you learn better grappling techniques along with the good kicks. I feel that Muay Thai fits into MMA better. Inside leg kicks are perfect set up for a good shoot.
If you can, try them both out. Either would be good, see if you enjoy either one more then the other.

Do Muay Thai. Kick boxing just uses kicks and punches, Muay thai uses kicks punches elbows knees, plus they get you into a clinch and then you can kiss yuoure ass good bye, its hard to get out andvery hard to block thier knees in a clinch, of course the clinch can be escapable.

not as hard to get out of the clinch if u know the correct techniques and u can also reverse the clinch and get ur opponent in it, and guarding while in the clinch position isnt all that bad as u can use ur elbows to hit their thighs while they are trying to knee while also protecting ur head, isnt that hard to do. it is much worse wat they do after the clinch as they can push away and kick punch elbow, also they knee ur sides to make u tired and also swing u off balance and keep working the body. o

Oh they use knees? Yea i new kickboxers used the clinch, but they mostly use it to rest, muay thai fighters use it to take controll of youre body.

What an ignorant comment, that is false and just not intelligent. Kickboxing is a direct "cousin" of Muay Thai and depending on what organization we are talking about Kickboxing does allow elbows and knees futhermore why can't someone learn kickboxing and learn knee and elbow strikes??? Just beacuse someone trains in Muay Thai does not mean they will be a better striker than a "kickboxer" just look at Lidell and Cro Cop...enough said
