When my winter break is over I'll weigh myself, if I'm not over 130 lbs. I think I'll just call it a life and jump off a cliff.
you shouldn't be eating lots of meals a day if you need to gain weight. if you eat lots of small meals in the day your body will build up a high metabolism, this set up is actually what you do when you need to lose weight.

instead you need to eat 3 big meals per day, try to eat lots of meat, pasta and vegetables. if your desperate enough try to eat fast food, nothing will make you gain weight faster than mcdonalds

Haha yeah I have that on my favorites list, it seems to be a good program but I don't have the equipment for it. All I got are dumbbells that go up to 45 lbs. So the barbell benches, deadlifts and squats aren't gonna be possible. Maybe if I can get one of my roommates back at college to go to the gym with me there, cause we have the equipment.

I agree with the types of food you suggested besides the fast food suggestion and the rest I do not. I had the same problem as the TS where I weighed 130. I ate small things every two hours and added a very good workout program and I have gained 30 pounds in 7 months. Other meal suggestions are PB&honey on bread, oatmeal, peanuts...anything healthy with high calories and protein drinks invest in a couple pounds every two weeks is what it normally lasts for me. Calories are THE MOST important thing when being underweight so eat around 4,000 a day and you'll gain weight for sure. If your underweight and have no stored calories to burn off your body turns to other sources like your muscles & body mass and combine this with working out which burns more calories and you get no where.

Workout + Maximum calories (healthy ones...not fast food ) = muscle mass!

Ahh, well hey, with 45 lb dumbells just do 1 arm snatches for time, or see if you can do 100 consecutive snatches

Geez that sounds tough. Well I took your advice and read that Ross guy's entire website and scratched my hypertrophy mass gaining plan. I watch his hardcore workout video and he said it's possible to gain mass while doing those strength workouts, so I guess I'll believe him since he gained 12 lbs. in 4 months.

My workout was cut short due to friend's birthday party, but I started out with my usual 3 min. jumprope warmup, then 3x 3 min. rounds of fast paced bagwork. (Ross said you can still do intense anarobic exercise while on a mass gaining program). Then I did Kettlebell swings, lunges, squats, and Russian deadlifts (I think that's what it's called). I then grabbed a 12 lb. medicine ball and did a workout I've seen at the gym - you take it and throw it to the ground, catch it on the bounce, and slam it back down, etc. Then my mom started bitching at me because we were gonna be late, so I quickly did 1 set of max pullups and 1 set of max pushups.

I'm thinking I'm gonna start adding burpees to my anarobic exercises, and medicine ball Russian twists to my core exercises. I'm also going to start doing pushups and dips with a backpack full of books. It's a start I guess.

Nice man! It's good to hear someone actually taking the time to read Ross' stuff. He is seriously a genius

your doin muay thai i assume

any muay thai instructor will take speed over power.....not saying that power isnt important or that this is even what i believe

muay thai guys believe in the idea that speed will ultimately determine the winner of a match/fight

your very light for height.....i definately suggest putting on mass not just for stregth and a harder punch but to help your body out when your getting your ass handed to you in a fight.....

good luck and i hope these posts were of any help

They are helpful hollando thanks, and lol I guess you're right about the getting my ass handed to me part. Without much mass I could more easily get broken ribs and stuff I suppose.
