Shoot for the bloody breeze!

Most dumb street fighters won't even think about you tackling them first off. I'm was brought up in a pretty tough neighbourhood, but thy were all dumb wannabe gangsters who think they're 50 cent.

As long as 20 of their mates aren't standing around waiting to get a piece, ground him with a double leg takedown or some sort of hip toss, and pound the dickhead.

A few weeks ago two Afghani guys were pushing me around, I smiled and laughed and gave the bigger one of them a head and arm toss. Bam! prick is on the ground, I'm standing over him. And you dont even need to punch him, or use much energy because he's on the ground and his friend just pissed his pants and ran away.

And also you wouldn't have to resort to barraging their asses. Still keeping defence and art principals, making yourself look humble, and embarassing the hell out of two dumb idiots.

You can't underestimate a street-banger. Granted they're generally imbecile and can't throw for more than a minute before they start to heave, but...

I've been in a couple fights outside of bars and in an UG fight club once (I was young, it was dumb, don't ask) and I found that even a skilled fighter can get rocked if he underestimates.

A banger will throw wild yes, but even a blind bird catches a worm occassionally. Deflect as many as you can, but at the same time backup in circles. Angle out not in and keep your inside facing him. It'll make him think you're retreating when in reality you're wasting his small energy reserve.

His stance will be piss-poor so you'll want to throw kicks on instinct when you see those huge holes, don't. A banger will try and grab your leg and if he succeeds, you'll have to take it to the ground. I always find bangers heave and sweat terribly on the ground. Its really gross. Just make him tire then come in with a few tight rapid combinations to make sure he's good and gassed out. Then blast him with a cross right in the face. Goodbye banger. Then run because most bangers' cronies have guns or knives.

So I'm guessing you've had no street fights then?

It's not a kung fu movie mate, that shit don't work on the street unless you're Chuck Norris.

Uh...no, no, no. Just because you can do it in a ring doesn't mean a damn thing on the street. There are no rules in the street. If you think you're good enough, throw 'em all day. But a more conservative and evasive approach guarantees that you don't get a nasty surprise...
