Last night I was walking home from the pub and some fella kept talkin shit to me... No idea who he was but next thing i felt a headbutt to the side of my head... I looked at him and asked what the hell he was playing at and he started bouncing about like he was gonna fight me.. I just threw a right hook aimed for under his chin, missed and hit him on the neck/throat... Followed up with another hook and caught him clean on the jaw.. He ran off to the nearest taxi lol.. some people eh?

Okay, here is a good learning experience I had right after football practice in college. I have been training in boxing since I was 12, and during my freshman offseason of college football I trained in L.A. boxings MMA and Boxing classes. It was the perfect off season cardio workout for football plus getting to do some good fighting.

One day after some off season drills one of the middle linebackers who was a senior decided he had had enough of the cocky ass freshman in that which I admit I was. So here we go a very good example of a guy who can not fight, but is well conditioned. He was about 5'11 and around 235, all muscle. I'm 6'1 about 215 at the time, I played safety.

This guy spears me, and when I say spear, he football de cleated me and I landed head first. I had no ability to get out of the way, it was just super fast. He started to get on top of me and proceed to kick my ass, problem was when he was punching me he was very wild and he was just doing mild damage to me, more of a frustration to me then anything else. The fight turned about 10 seconds in when I used the one thing that no non trained fighter is ready for......I square hit him in the face, nothing fancy nothing glamorous I was just on my back got a chance and flushed his chin with my right. That was long enough for me to get him off of me and for me to get standing. Then of course he rushes in to spear me again, but now I have entered fight mode and I simply stuck my knee into the top of his head and let him knock his own self out by running into an immovable object. Thats it fight was over. Moral of the story is, just stay calm, and just remember he can't take the punches that you can dish out. Nor can he control his emotions the way you can.

If ur talking about a street fight, then don't be scared to use "dirty" techniques. I have fought guys bigger and stronger than myself and have had little trouble bringing them to the ground with one simple move. Stomp to the knee. Brings em' straight to the ground. Of course u can't do this in the cage, but in the street with no rules, it is so easy with just a little bit of common sense. Attacks to joints like the knee hurt like a mother ****er!

Its been said already for the most part but if some one is rushin in at you you back up if they are throwin conventional stance move to your left and counter the shot will be there cuz most of the time when people throw wildly they leave that chin wide open........hee hee

On the other hand God made these goofy bastards called southpaws and if you get one of them watch out for somthin smashin the right side of your head outta nowhere....thats their left and its hard to see commin in this case again step backwards at an angle to your right this time and counter.....

I prefer.....if some one comes running in at me Im takin him down asap...depending at that point what i want to do either pound them or possible position for the sub and let them go nite nite....

I found that if you keep throwing quick punches straight to areas like the nose, it'll stop the people who are going to go crazy with haymakers, which is usually what untrained fighters will throw. My personal favorite though is doing a push kick when someone is charging at you. It gets them off balance and gives you a chance to close the distance and do your thing. (Only to the lower body so there is no chance they catch your foot.) But like coldcall said, if you know how to do subs or even a little experienced on the ground, taking them down is probably the best thing to do.

If you can get to the skin on the back of their hand, or on their quad, and pinch it, that hurts like hell and will def. get them off you.
