Use your boxing to it's fullest. However, add a bit of karate kicks and pay attention to your footwork and evasiness.

To that I would like to add, work your angles, the principles of tae sabaki if you're familiar.

Yeah, you should also pay attention to your footwork as well.

You can block his punches. Decent blocks will interrupt his swinging rythym, and slow it down - at least a little bit, temporarily. In that time, do what you want.

In a couple of times, I've had to face someone like that. I backed away, blocked, backed, blocked, pulled both of their arms down when they left them out, and punched them in the face.

Now, I would just take them to the ground. But that's what I did back in the day.

You're right, but frequently the nonfighter will take you there whether you want to go or not.

You just bassically have to get the one shot in that will daze them and then swarm and finish. They will always ball up if they arent trained because they arent used to getting hit and you can just unload on them. Keep in mind you still have to keep proper form because nothing sucks more then a sucker punch
Basically this, plus the cool response.

How do you fight a non-trained fighter?

Easily.

To add to this.

Outside of slowing him down, blocking his punches will both frustrate and tire him out.

If you're training the chances are your conditioning for fighting are incredibly high whereas his are incredibly low. Play defense until he tires himself out, then try to reason hoping he understands the consequences of continuing his pathetic attempts to knock you out. If he doesn't... Well, you don't have a choice, do you?
