am i exectly the same way, even if someone tries to hit me. the only thing that will really set me off is being pushed/hit in the face. at that moment my "thoughts" just turn to red....the best way i can describe it. Its an angry irish thing. Soooo I guess my point is just try to stay calm till someone hits you

There are a couple ways to do it...
1. Let a buddy throw on some gloves and you just guard up and deflect and block for a while. It kind of seemed to cause a natural rage reaction that helped me to mentally produce a similar reaction later. Just make sure its a friend you can trust who won't **** you over and go hard as hell.
2. Straight up sparring works just fine but takes a little longer to get used to. Overcoming that natural tendencies against aggression takes a while. But the sparring helps.

im 16 and i have taken too many beatings and i want to overcome the fear of fighting back, how do i come about it?

i used to box and do judo but the feeling of sparring in either martial arts doesnt bother me as they have rules to obey by, but when it comes to being confronted on the streets i cower and make up excuses not to get in a fight, it never works and i get beaten severely.

i need some help at overcoming my fear of standing up for myself, fighting back and being able to take a punch as well, can someone help me please as i am tired of being jumped when ever i go out where i live?
