slightly O/T, broken knuckles

Hey guys, I don't know much about fighting and never fought since I was a teen-ager. But last Saturday some guy in a local pub picked a fight with me so I beat him up really bad. I didn't know I could hit that hard, but my friends said the guy had an lump on his head the size of an egg or a tennis ball. And now my hand is swelled up like crazy and I am having trouble closing my fist. My pinky finger is hard to move. I didn't go to the doctors. But my friends who have been in many fights told me that it will get better in a few weeks.
I don't want to go to the doctors and I want my hand to get better. Do you think my friends were right, that it will get better in a few weeks?
Thanks

if you have health insurance go to the doctor.

if you don't ice it for a few days and if it isn't getting smaller go to the doctor.

1. Learn how to punch without hurting your little knuckles or use elbows.
2. Probably best going to the doctors and getting it checked out.
3. Got any pics of it?

If it's swelling like that and you don't have normal range of motion then there's a pretty good chance that it's broken. See a doctor. Seriously.

Yeah it's probably a boxer's fracture, really common when punching bare knuckle and untrained. He'll probably put your hand in a cast for a couple of weeks. I had one myself (punching concrete wall is bad) and it took about 3 months to heal, but I didn't get a cast put on it so it might be faster if you do.

Everybody good, plenty of slaves for my robot colony?

Go see a doctor if you have health insurance.

Avoid fighting someone always loses, and its not always the other guy.
